After Monday’s THE VOICE performances, it looked like Will Champlin and Ray Boudreaux could be heading home this week. But, their luck held up and they will stay to perform another week. Jonny Gray, Kat Robichaud, and Josh Logan dropped to the bottom three spots. At this point, THE VOICE debuted its newest twist – the Tweet Save. For a period of five minutes, viewers watching the live performance on the east coast could tweet the name of the competitor they wished to say. It took about thirty seconds to calculate the Twitter votes (I’m still unclear on how this is even possible), and Kat emerged as the saved competitor.
As could be expected, on the red carpet after the show, there were lots of questions for Carson Daly on this new system. A key issue is whether it alienates THE VOICE fans that watch the west coast airing. To see Carson’s response, Blake’s reaction about who was saved, and parting words from Jonny and Josh, check out our video interviews after the jump.
