The Beginning of the End: Your First Look at the Final Season of BOARDWALK EMPIRE
HEMLOCK GROVE Scoop: Landon Liboiron Talks The Season 2 Conflict Between Peter and Roman
It was always too good to be true. Can a werewolf and a vampire ever really be friends? Yet HEMLOCK GROVE had the audacity to propose that they could. Season 1 introduced Peter Romancek (Landon Liboiron), a gypsy werewolf, who had just moved to the seemingly sleepy town of Hemlock Grove where the Godfrey family control the town through their obscene wealth and their desire to keep a distance from the townsfolk. But the Godfrey’s had many secrets to conceal, only one of which was that its matriarch Olivia Godfrey (Famke Janssen) was an upir. Her son Roman (Bill Skarsgard) had not yet transformed and was unaware of his bloody ancestry, but was inexplicably drawn to Peter. Roman perhaps sensed, as Peter sensed about Roman, that there was an otherworld quality to Peter.
So Season 1 was a dance of mutual interest and aligned interests as Peter and Roman struck up a friendship and set out to track down a beast attacking the residents of Hemlock Grove. But Season 1 ended in a bloody and deadly finale as the beast was killed and Roman’s cousin, Letha (Penelope Mitchell) died as well. Both Peter and Roman were tormented by the secrets uncovered and the deaths that surrounded them. It pushed Peter to leave town and Roman to finally confront his mother about their darkest nature.
In a press interview from the set, star Landon Liboiron talked about why Peter returns to Hemlock Grove and whether or not there is hope that Peter and Roman could ever be friends again. [Read more…]
UNDER THE DOME Scoop: Season 2 Returns With More Shocking Deaths, More Discoveries and More Unexpected Alliances
Season 1 of UNDER THE DOME was certainly full of shocks and surprises, and when it returns for Season 2, it certainly delivers on those heightened expectations. And when the show says that no one is safe, it means it. Look for another major character death to start the season off with a heart-breaking jolt. Also revealed right away will be another neat trick of the dome. Just when the residents of Chester’s Mill thought they had figured out all that the dome can do, the dome proves it still has a trick or two to reveal.
So what exactly is the dome? Is it an entity of its own or is it a tool of unknown origin? Given everything that it has done so far, it is beginning to look more and more like the dome itself is a living, breathing entity — and perhaps of alien origin. Since this is a Stephen King story, the possibility of alien life is actually not that far-fetched. How else can one explain it? [Read more…]

FALLING SKIES Scoop: Scarlett Byrne Talks Portraying The Hybrid Lexi
From the moment she was born, Alexis Glass-Mason was a very special baby. She could stand on her own even as a baby and she seem to have an inhuman way of staring as if she understood everything around her. She also seemed to age a unusually fast rate, and within months she had gone from being a baby to a toddler to a young child. When we meet Lexi again in Season 4 of FALLING SKIES, she goes through another rapid growth spurt and we shall meet her next as a young woman.
A baby and child no more, Lexi (Scarlett Byrne) has found her place amongst the human survivors and 2nd Mass as a spiritual guide. Her miraculous human/alien hybrid DNA seems to hold the keys to the mysteries of the universe and perhaps the heavens too. While not sure if Lexi could indeed be an angel or emissary of God, some believe that she has been sent to them as a messenger. But is Lexi truly touched by something otherworldly or is she just a young woman who has grown up too fast without her parents to guide her?
In a recent exclusive interview, Scarlett Byrne talked about portraying Lexi as the young woman who seems to have particular sway over those around her, both human and alien. [Read more…]
