On this week’s CHICAGO FIRE it looks like Chili will have a rough road ahead in terms of her recovery and Chief Boyden tries his best with a one-on-one talk with her about how she’s doing. After two declarations that she is fine, and a promise that she’s up for the process, he seems happy. But in classic Boyden fashion, he leaves her with a warning. Chili still has two strikes, and in order to succeed at 51 she needs to stay the course, back up her words with actions, and stop pushing people away.
But in the next clip she does just that. When Severide comes to her with questions and concerns about some of her actions she decides he is just “seeing things” that aren’t there. Her popping out to her car for a minute and then coming back and putting a piece of gum in her mouth are warning signs that Severide is aware of. But with a sarcastic smile and a bit of a biting tongue, Chili says that she has been taking care of herself for a long time, and doesn’t need him to do it for her.
Will Chili clean up her act, or is she doomed to leave 51 in disgrace? Find out on this week’s episode of CHICAGO FIRE tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
