BRAINDEAD Preview: Go Behind the Scenes of CBS’s New Comic Zombie Thriller

brain dead

A lot of typical zombie shows feature hordes of zombies decimating the population, with the survivors trying to fight back (or just survive). But in BRAINDEAD, CBS’s new series from the creators of THE GOOD WIFE, the zombies are working in politics.

Laurel is a fresh-faced Capitol Hill staffer who is very surprised to learn two things: (1) the government has stopped working, and (2) bugs are actually eating the brains of Congress members and her fellow Hill staffers.

Years ago, Laurel (the daughter of a Democratic political family) left Washington, D.C. to become a documentary filmmaker. But now her brother, Luke (the Democratic whip Senator from Maryland) needs her help running is office, so she agrees to return to politics. She befriends Gareth, the Legislative Director to a top Republican, Gustav, an eccentric genius, and Rochelle, a medical student. Gustav is the first to realize that something sinister is attacking the Capitol and the group must work together to solve this problem as the tiny bugs continue to multiply.

BRAINDEAD premieres on Monday, June 13 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
