MOTHER, MAY I SLEEP WITH DANGER? Preview: A Remake With a Vampiric Twist

Twenty years ago, the cult classic film MOTHER, MAY I SLEEP WITH DANGER? was released. Tori Spelling starred as a young woman dating Ivan Sergei’s character who, as she soon came to realize, was a very bad man. Now Lifetime has teamed up with James Franco to re-imagine the film.

Spelling and Sergei are both cast in the updated movie. Spelling is Julie, the mother of theatre major Leah who brings home her girlfriend to meet her family. Her mother is thrown by the fact that her daughter is dating a girl, but things get far worse when we learn that Leah’s girlfriend is actually a vampire. Meanwhile, Sergei stars as a professor at Leah’s school.

MOTHER, MAY I SLEEP WITH DANGER? airs on June 18 at 8/7c on Lifetime.
