What’s Coming to Amazon Prime Video Canada in March 2017?
Today Amazon announced the upcoming Canadian availability for six Amazon Original Series that will be added to Amazon Prime Video in March. Prime Video members in more than 200 countries and territories will soon be able to binge-watch the series below in March 2017 on PrimeVideo.com.
HAND OF GOD (March 10)
Created and written by Ben Watkins (Burn Notice), HAND OF GOD returns for its second season with Golden Globe winner Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy), starring as Judge Pernell Harris. The hard-living, law-bending king of San Vicente, “Judge Maximum” has finally hit bottom as he faces trial for the murder of a cop. While his visions and the ghost of his son will slowly lead Pernell through a conspiracy that is bigger than he could have imagined, they will threaten his relationship with his wife and everything he holds dear. This season, Judge Maximum must fight on two fronts—to restore his sanity and gain his freedom. HAND OF GOD also stars Dana Delany (Body of Proof) as the Judge’s estranged wife Crystal Harris, who is on a mission to secure her son’s legacy, Andre Royo (The Wire) as the gregarious, smart-yet-slick mayor Robert ‘Bobo’ Boston, Garret Dillahunt (Justified) as KD, the born-again sociopath whose violent tendencies are exploited by Pernell, Emayatzy Corinealdi (Roots) as Pernell’s former call girl and confidante Tessie, Alona Tal (Supernatural) as Pernell’s grieving daughter-in-law Jocelyn Harris, Julian Morris (Pretty Little Liars) as the morally questionable preacher Paul Curtis, and Elizabeth McLaughlin (Betrayal) as the preacher’s sultry girlfriend, Alicia. This season the all-star cast is joined by Linda Gray (Dallas), Nia Long (The Best Man) and Brian Baumgartner (The Office).
RED OAKS (March 10)
Staring Craig Roberts, the second season of RED OAKS transports viewers back to the summer of 1986 in suburban New Jersey, when Top Gun was #1 at the box office and life was much simpler…for everyone but the clueless members and misfit staffers of Red Oaks Country Club. For assistant tennis pro David Meyers (Craig Roberts) it’s been a year of upheaval. In a freefall following his parents’ divorce, forced to drop out of NYU and forego dreams of becoming a filmmaker, his one silver lining has been his budding romance with Skye, the daughter of club president Doug Getty. Meanwhile David’s family and friends are all struggling through their own complicated summer of love. RED OAKS, created and executive produced by Gregory Jacobs and Joe Gangemi, also stars Ennis Esmer, Oliver Cooper, Paul Reiser, Alexandra Socha, Richard Kind and Jennifer Grey. From Wall Street to Parisian boulevards, Manhattan courtrooms to SoHo art galleries, backyard weddings to back nine sexual encounters, RED OAKS is about all the funny places we find ourselves…on the road to finding ourselves.
YOU ARE WANTED (March 17)
YOU ARE WANTED tells the story of Lukas Franke (Schweighöfer), a young hotel manager and father who is brutally torn out of his everyday life when his personal data is hacked and he finds the story of his life beginning to be rewritten. As strange news continues to emerge, Lukas finds his digital identity continuously manipulated, arousing the suspicion of the German Federal Criminal Office (BKA), who accuse him of being a member of a terrorist organization. Even his wife (Alexandra Maria Lara) begins to doubt him. When his child is threatened, it is obvious to Lukas that he has to fight back. He allies with Lena Arandt (Karoline Herfurth), who is also a victim of the hackers. With her help he tries to find them and hunt them down. Who is behind the conspiracy? Why was he targeted? Lukas is forced to fight back, find the perpetrators, prove his innocence and get back his old life. The series also stars Alexandra Maria Lara, Karoline Herfurth and Tom Beck. You Are Wanted will be available with English, French, Italian and Spanish dubbing and subtitles. Additionally, subtitles will be available in Portuguese, Hindi and Japanese.
ONE MISSISSIPPI (March 17)
Starring comedian Tig Notaro, this traumedy is also inspired by her life. We find Tig as she leaves Los Angeles and returns to her hometown in Mississippi upon her mother’s untimely death. What starts as Tig reconciling her mother’s affairs becomes a poignant, hilarious and surprising exploration of family, childhood and life after grief. ONE MISSISSIPPI also stars Noah Harpster, John Rothman and Casey Wilson.

CRSIS IN SIX SCENES also stars Miley Cyrus, Elaine May, Rachel Brosnahan and John Magaro.
GOLD GIRLS REVOLT (March 31)
The series takes place in 1969, while a cultural revolution with a soundtrack to match swept through the free world, and there was still one place that refused to change with the times: newsrooms. Starring Genevieve Angelson, Anna Camp and Erin Darke, GOLD GIRLS REVOLT follows a group of young female researchers, Jane Hollander (Anna Camp), Patti Robinson (Genevieve Angelson), Cindy Reston (Erin Darke), at “News of the Week,” who simply ask to be treated fairly. ARROW Sneak Peek: The Gang Of Three
Today is Washington’s birthday, and I cannot tell a lie…Last week’s ARROW was an incredible sounding television show! More effective than a Covey seminar, more nuanced than a Joseph Conrad novel, the artistry of the post production sound team was both profound and elegant.
Supervising Sound Editor, Michael E. Lawshé, Rerecording Mixers Dan Hiland and Gary D. Rogers, Dialogue Editor, Jessica Goodwin, and Sound Effects Editor, Robert Ramirez, delivered a spectacular ARROW last week.
Film students, take note. Along with SUPERNATURAL, this is how television and film should sound. If you did not see either show last week, find them online and enjoy!
Powers-that-be… please submit these folks for Emmys and buy the advertising to ensure that great work gets rewarded.
Also, worth noting when extolling the treasures of ARROW and SUPERNATURAL, a brunette young Mary Winchester, guest star Amy Gumenick, returns to Star City tonight looking for that dish that is best served cold… revenge.
Tonight, Gumenick who returns as Cupid, is part of a 3-pack of crazy-yet-charming-yet-homicidal ladies who break out of Iron Heights and head out to SC for a bit of payback. Also in the dastardly trio are China White (guest star Kelly Hu) and Liza Warner (guest star Rutina Wesley). Definitely time for Team Arrow to suit up.
When Green Arrow tries to corral the new girl gang, the ACU intervenes. But not to arrest the threesome. Law enforcement wants to arrest GA for murdering Detective Malone.
Quentin (Paul Blackthorne) continues to battle his demons and feels responsible for the prison break. It seems as though Warner heard about him working with Damien Darhk. So much for Lance’s hard work getting her to follow the straight-and-narrow.
ARROW also stars David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, Echo Kellum and Josh Segarra. Guest stars on tonight’s episode, “The Sin-Eater,” include Corina Akeson, Lexa Doig, Hesham Hammoud, Juliana Harkavy, Adrian Holmes, David Lloyd, David Meunier, David Nykl, Carly Pope, Dimitri Tsoy and Carlo Yu.
“The Sin-Eater” was written by Barbara Bloom & Jenny Lynn and was directed by Mary Lambert.
ARROW airs tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW in the U.S. and CTV Two in Canada.
SUPERNATURAL Sneak Peek: Is Dean Getting Suspicious of Mary?
There’s a lot of complicated family relationships happening in this week’s SUPERNATURAL.
First, Crowley’s family is going to be complete when his son — Gavin — reappears. Gavin, of course, was brought into the present by Crowley and has remained here ever since, which meant he didn’t die in the past as intended. This week, Sam and Dean investigate a case related to the Star, the very ship Gavin was originally supposed to die on. Once they discover that they ask Rowena to help locate her grandson so they can get some information from him.

Meanwhile, at the beginning of the episode we find the boys heading to their case before they’re really aware of Gavin. They’re discussing the fact that Mary has passed on helping them with this case because she was “too tired”. Sam seems to buy the excuse — after all, hunting is a tiring profession. But Dean seems suspicious that his mother is hiding something from them. Of course, we know the fact that she’s working with the British Men of Letters is the exact thing she’s hiding, but her boys don’t know about that yet. How long before they find out? And will they consider it a betrayal?
A new episode of SUPERNATURAL airs on Thursday, February 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
Fox Renews STAR for a Second Season
The news of Fox’s renewals is building, with the announcements that THE MICK and LETHAL WEAPON have both gotten second season orders. This afternoon the network also announced that STAR has been renewed for season 2.
“Lee Daniels is a true visionary and he and Tom Donaghy have delivered a series with a unique and meaningful point of view,” said David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “Our incredible cast, led by Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt, instantly infused their characters with tremendous depth and passion, and the show has proved to be both powerful and really entertaining. We are thrilled that this STAR will continue to shine for a second season.”
STAR airs Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on Fox. The season 1 finale is set to air on March 15.
Fox Renews LETHAL WEAPON For Season 2
Yesterday Fox announced that it had renewed the freshman comedy series THE MICK for a second season. Today the network had renewed the freshman drama series LETHAL WEAPON for season 2.
“LETHAL WEAPON continues to fire on all cylinders,” said David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “Every week, it delivers a big, fun rollercoaster ride, but also remains touchingly human and genuinely emotional, and that’s due to the chemistry that’s developed not only between Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford, but the entire cast. We want to thank our producing partners, Warner Bros., as well as Matt Miller,McG, Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz, who have done a fantastic job in crafting a series for which a second-season order is well deserved.”
LETHAL WEAPON airs on Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
THE 100 Sneak Peek: Raven and John Fight for Survival
Everyone has secrets, and that’s even more true on THE 100. In Arkadia, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy (Bob Morley) have secretly made a list of the 100 people they’ve chosen to survive the nuclear fallout, while the rest of the camp continues working towards a solution — unaware of their fate. Elsewhere in Polis, everyone except Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) and Indra (Adina Porter) now believe the Flame has been destroyed (rather than it was stolen), leaving King Roan (Zach McGowan) with a precariously weak hold on the throne.
And it’s all only get to worse before it gets better. But thankfully in this week’s episode, titled “A Lie Guarded,” there is some hope. As struggles with leadership and trust turn to violence in Arkadia and Polis, Abby (Paige Turco) leads a team to Becca’s island looking for answers. Raven (Lindsey Morgan), John (Richard Harmon), Emori (Luisa D’Oliveira), Nathan (Jarod Joseph) and Luna (Nadia Hilker) join her to see if Nightblood can help everyone weather the coming storm.
Meanwhile, Octavia’s decision to let Indra’s daughter, Gaia, take the Flame will have serious repercussions. King Rowan believes he’s been betrayed and that Skaikru are planning to replace him with a true Commander. As a result, Octavia will find herself going up against Echo (Tasya Teles), sending her further down a dark path.
Check out some sneak peeks from the new episode below. THE 100 airs tonight (February 22) at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
