When we last saw Claire at the end of season 2 of OUTLANDER she had aged more than 20 years after returning to her present time and her daughter with Jamie — Brianna — was grown up. Season 3 of OUTLANDER will take us back in time for Claire, specifically we’ll see the birth of Brianna and how she and Frank raised the little girl together.
But from the looks of the new extended preview below, it’s clear that Claire feels some unease about erasing Jamie’s existence as Brianna’s father. And Frank is finding it difficult to compete with Claire and Jamie’s great love.
Meanwhile, Jamie returns home after the Battle of Culloden and finds himself arrested by the British soldiers. As he adjusts to a life without Claire, time and distance continue to separate the pair. But we know that there’s a possibility Claire can return to the 18th century and reunite with her husband.
