Will new developments on this week’s CHICAGO MED leave the fate of the Emergency Department uncertain?
After a board meeting, Sharon is confronted with the possibility of future budget cuts coming to the hospital. Those cuts leave the ED right in the crosshairs after complaints from the board, forcing her to contemplate some changes. But with those new changes, comes a new set of guidelines that the doctors are less than pleased with.
While the cuts are happening and the new rules are being implemented, Dr. Charles and Reese begin treating a patient who thinks that there is something inside of him that needs to be taken out. Though the pair is not initially sold on the patient’s self-diagnosis, the doctors begin to wonder if there is something unusual about it.
Elsewhere on CHICAGO MED, Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Bekker continue their surgical rivalry while Dr. Manning and Dr. Choi find themselves unsure of what is wrong with their patient leading them to get answers from questionable places.
