THE STORY OF DIANA
From ABC and Time Inc.’s People, THE STORY OF DIANA is a four-hour primetime television event on the extraordinary life of Princess Diana. Debuting over two nights, the documentary marks the 20th anniversary of her tragic passing at age 36 and will capture the most comprehensive interviews ever conducted on the woman known as the People’s Princess: in-depth conversations with those who knew her best, as well as the world’s leading Diana experts. These interviews will be woven together with People’s unparalleled reporting, as well as captivating archival footage of the Princess of Wales. The documentary will not only explore the remarkable chapters of Diana’s life, but will also delve deeply into the ways in which her story remains relevant today. This television event will remind the world why they fell in love with Diana in the first place – and will introduce her to a whole new generation.

SOMEWHERE BETWEEN (10 Episodes)
SOMEWHERE BETWEEN is a thriller drama series starring Paula Patton (“Warcraft”) as Laura Price, a superstar news producer in San Francisco and fiercely loving mom. She isn’t crazy: Laura knows her 8-year-old daughter is going to be murdered. She doesn’t know who the murderer is, or why she’s killed, but she knows exactly when it will happen, where, and how. Despite this, all of her attempts to keep her daughter safe fail, and Serena’s fixed, unmovable, terrifying fate keeps her directly in the path of her killer. JR Bourne (“Teen Wolf”) will play Tom Price, Laura’s powerful yet sensitive husband who is also the city’s district attorney; Devon Sawa (“Nikita”) as Nico Jackson, a former cop turned private investigator; and newcomer Aria Birch as Serena Price, a big-hearted, untamable child who is always reaching out to others as a new friend.

Everyone knows the story of Romeo and Juliet. But the tragic tail ends with the death of the young lovers. STILL STAR-CROSSED, on the other hand, tells the tale of what happens next.

Romeo and Juliet’s deaths have escalated the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets and the streets of Verona have become very dangerous. Verona’s ruling Prince, Escalus, wants to end the feud and bring peace to the kingdom. At the suggestion of his sister, Princess Isabella, Escalus devices a plan to marry a Capulet to a Montague to unite the families. To achieve this, he arranges the marriage between Benvolio (Romeo’s cousin) and Rosaline (Juliet’s cousin). But when Benvolio saves Rosaline from an assault, she’s insulting instead of grateful, and their courtship has a long way to go.

star-crossed, Matt Lanter, Aimee Teegarden

The CW alien-drama STAR-CROSSED was an addictive, heart-warming, intriguing show for those who discovered it. Unfortunately, it ended all too soon after the CW elected to not renew the show for a second season. Since the news broke, fans around the globe have been clamoring for the CW, CBS, Warner Bros., Fox and Netflix to give the show a chance and pick-up for that elusive second season. Alas, those pleas seem to have fallen on deaf executive ears as each network and studio has invested all their programming/production funds in their new slate of television shows.

So in an exclusive interview, STAR-CROSSED’s creator and executive producer Meredith Averill answers a few remaining questions about the fate of the show. [Read more…]

STAR-CROSSED Scoop: The Cast Dishes on Tonight’s Stormy New Episode as Human/Alien Relations Heat Up During a Hurricane

72063

In this week’s new episode of STAR-CROSSED, “What Storm Is This That Blows So,” a hurricane hits Edendale and forces the students at Marshall High into lock-down. But due to the suspicious nature and suddenness of the storm, Lukas (Titus Makin Jr.) and Sophia (Brina Palencia) investigate to find out what may have been the real cause of this ferocious visit from Mother Nature. Also suspicious is Roman (Matt Lanter) who believes that Teri (Chelsea Gilligan) may be conspiring with her Trag mom Vega (Merle Dandridge) in a plot to harm Emery (Aimee Teegarden), after last week’s public outing by Castor (Johnathan Schaech). Then Grayson (Grey Damon) puts pressure on Drake (Greg Finley) to reveal the names of the Trags conspiring against the humans. And if that was not enough drama to keep everyone busy during the lock-down, Ms. Benton (Stephanie Jacobsen) needs an Atrian specimen to run further tests on to discover the secrets of cyper.

Hilariously, the one person looking to keep as far away from trouble in this episode is Erik (Jesse Luke), alas he is a bit of a trouble-magnet and he finds himself having to talk himself out of a couple of awkward situations.

But not everything is life and death in this episode. There is occasion for a least two unexpectedly warm and wonderful kisses and the new romances starting to bloom between the Atrians and humans are going to fight hard to keep their various feuding factions from driving them apart. If only life could be all about love, and not having to worry about those who would hunt each of them down for just being different.

This is the dilemma that STAR-CROSSED tackles head-on. The distrust and resentment by the extremists amongst the Atrians and the humans is heating up and its put these teens lives at risk. What is fascinating is seeing how deftly each rises to the challenge and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect their families and love ones, while still trying to keep the peace and find a way to encourage further integration and understanding.

While at WonderCon this past weekend, the cast took a few minutes to talk about the big hurricane episode of STAR-CROSSED and how it impacts their characters. (Also fun are the shout-outs by Aimee Teegarden, Jesse Luken, Matt Lanter and executive producers Adele Lim and Meredith Averill who express their delight in William Shatner’s recent live-tweets of their show.) STAR-CROSSED Preview: A Love Written In the Stars

star-crossed, Matt Lanter, Aimee Teegarden

With only six of its thirteen episodes of its first season having aired, fans of the new series STAR-CROSSED have fallen under its spell. From the very first episode, everyone fell in love with the star-crossed love story of Roman (Matt Lanter) and Emery (Aimee Teegarden), the alien boy and the human girl. Watching their meet-cute at the tender age of six as young Emery shared spaghetti with the young alien boy hiding in her garage, how could we not?

Flash-forward 10 years later and it is the first day at school at Marshall High. It is not only Emery’s first day as she has just been released from the hospital after a long, painful recovery, it is Roman’s first day as well — for it had taken ten years before humans would finally allow a few chosen Atrians teens to attend a local high school as a trial program to integrate the alien and humans.
