The TV Addict: Unfortunately for Nikita, the “word” is somewhat of a good news, bad news situation. With the good news being that Michael will promise to keep what he knows about Alex’s true loyalties from Percy if — and here is where the bad news comes in — Nikita can find Kasim (the man responsible for murdering Michael’s family) within the next 24 hours!

Is there any hope for us Mikita (Michael and Nikita) shippers? — Brenda
The TV Addict: While we’re hesitant to give false hope to Mikita shippers — particularly because we haven’t seen the last of Owen — our sources on location (Suffice to say, living in the same city in which NIKITA shoots is finally starting to pay off!) Michael and NIkita will very soon be working hand-in-hand in an effort to free Alex from the clutches of Division before she is outed as the mole by [redacted for fear of spoiling everything!]

In terms of their renewal chances, should fans be concerned that FOX has opted to air reruns of THE CHICAGO CODE and LIE TO ME throughout the summer over the likes of FRINGE and HUMAN TARGET? — Franklin
The TV Addict: Absolutely not! Despite headlines to the contrary, there are two very important reasons why we believe the likes of FRINGE and HUMAN TARGET were left off Fox’s summer schedule. First and foremost, FRINGE has never repeated well (to the point that it has never been included in Fox’s summer scheduling plans). And two, if you’re going to rerun shows over the summer, you might as well choose shows like THE CHICAGO CODE and LIE TO ME that are produced by Fox’s sister company 20th Century Fox Television versus FRINGE and HUMAN TARGET which are both Warner Bros. Television properties and add very little to the bottom line.

PARENTHOOD is so much more fun when Crosby is happy, any news on a potential reconciliation between Crosby and Jasmine? — Bailey
The TV Addict: When PARENTHOOD returns on March 27 after far too long a hiatus, fans will be happy to learn that an incident at school will bring Crosby and Jasmine closer together. Less happy, is the news of the medical variety that Joel and Julia will receive.

When should this UGLY BETTY addict expect America Ferrera to return to THE GOOD WIFE? — Sam
The TV Addict: Mark your calendar for March 29th when a smitten Eli anonymously enlists the services of Lockhart Gardner when Natalie (America Ferrera) faces deportation as a result of his political maneuverings. Oh, and judging by the sparkling smile plastered across America Ferrera’s face, we have a sneaking suspicion we haven’t seen the last of her!

Seeing as though I’m the only one that cares about NO ORDINARY FAMILY, I’m hoping you have some intel on which series regular will not survive past the finale. — Adam
The TV Addict: Unfortunately, judging from a recent phone interview that was hastily cancelled at the last minute, we have a feeling no member of the cast will be be living to fight another day post-finale! But to answer your question more specifically, all sources are pointing to the fact that Katie’s (Autumn Reeser) baby will very soon be left to grow up with a single parent. Gulp!

Please tell me Fitz isn’t going to continue to come between Clare and Eli on DEGRASSI? — Jessica
The TV Addict: Honestly, at this point we’re far less concerned about born-again Fitz coming between Clare and Eli than we are about Noah Bradley, the school’s newest heartthrob who be joining the show next season. Turns out, Noah has a childhood connection to Clare, worst still, it’s a “friendship” that Noah’s meddlesome parents seem very keen on having them rekindle. Double Gulp!

Any SHAMELESS scoop? — Naomi
The TV Addict: Does us awarding SHAMELESS our favorite new show of 2011 count as scoop? What’s that? It doesn’t! Well how does this sound… on the upcoming March 27 finale, Debbie won’t be the only one to be in on the secret life of the american teenager Steve!

Check out the highlight of last night’s GOLDEN GLOBES — America Ferrera accepting her first (of what will no doubt be many) awards for her portrayal of Betty Suarez in ABC’s freshman hit UGLY BETTY. Her honesty, emotion and class gives young girls everywhere an ideal role model. Here’s to a lot more America in 2007, and a lot less Paris.

Having just finished watching last night’s episode of UGLY BETTY, I’m more convinced then ever that Americans must stand-up and support their valued illegal immigrants. Who knew television could be so powerful! Okay, mabye not that powerful, but seriously folks, UGLY BETTY has quickly become the weeks most anticipated show (and yes, I realize that I seem to say that a lot).

The truth is that for this TV addict, UGLY BETTY is a blissful escape. It’s a show the whole family can sit around and not have to worry about gruesome killings, corrupt lawyers or an island mythology so dense it takes a PHD to figure out what the frak is going on.

As per usual, this week’s installment had me laughing, smiling and left me with an aching finger from constantly rewinding my PVR to re-watch a key scene. LOVED Wilhelmina’s reaction when we’re finally introduced to her daugheter. LOVED Betty standing up to Daniel and telling him he should change his philandering ways. And LOVED that Betty’s father told her what we all knew was coming, that he’s an illegal immigrant.

Finally, with Halloween just around the corner, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Marc’s ‘Ugly Betty’ costume. While he definitely made a great ‘Betty’, he also had a television network’s costume and make-up department on hand to help him out. Last night’s episode had a little bit of everything for GREY’S fans across the board. We had Meredith ‘dating’ (with the inevitable dream sequence featuring McVet and McDreamy). Izzie returning to the hospital (almost!). And an adorable Abigail Breslin, fresh off her fantastic summer movie LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE (watch your back Dakota Fanning!). We also had what’s become a standard heart-breaking moment, as Addison Sheperd has now reversed roles with Meredith to become the McEmotionalMess. How much am I loving Addy? Who would have thought ‘the other woman’ would have become my favourite resident of Seattle Grace?

Dunder Mifflin is so much fun that it almost makes me wish I worked in an actual office. Okay, perhaps that’s a bit of a stretch, but who wouldn’t love Movie Monday and Call of Duty Tournaments? Seriously folks, when 8:30PM on Thursday comes around, I’ve got ‘Sophie’s Choice’ on my hand. Flip from UGLY BETTY (which I’m loving) or PVR THE OFFICE and watch it after GREY’S ANATOMY. This week, I stuck with UGLY BETTY, since I was loving it, and have held off watching THE OFFICE until 10PM.

Why am I loving UGLY BETTY? Two words, America Ferrera. She glows and is not surprisingly, the most radiant star to hit the small screen (or 42″ widescreen as the case may be) since Kristin Bell showed up in Neptune [VERONICA MARS]. Admittedly, nothing about the show is the least bit surprising, and the entire ‘mystery plot’ is falling slightly flat, but aside from that, the show is a joy to watch. I’m loving the vibrant colours, delectable dialogue and Vanessa L. Williams portayal of evil fashion editor Wilhemina. I can’t recall such an entertaining TV villian since Amanda moved into MELROSE PLACE.

In the world of television, where looks are valued far more then trivial matters — such as acting skills or talent — watching Betty navigate through New York’s fashion world was a joy to watch. True, the plot was predictable, and a few of the jokes fell on the corny side (has anyone ever really walked right into a glass wall not noticing that it was there?), but with a star like America Ferrerra, all is forgiven.

America gives it her all as Betty and has you rooting for her from the minute she graces the screen. Surrounding America is a fantastic cast including the newly appointed editor-in-chief of ‘Mode Magazine’ Daniel Meade (the far from ugly Eric Mabius) as well a Wilhelmin (played deliciously by Vanessa L. Williams), the scheming second-in-command who it seems will stop at nothing to get Daniel’s job. Watching over the entire mess is Daniel’s father, and publishing magnate Bradford Meade (played by Alan Dale – who now seems to be the go-to guy for evil father. Ie: Caleb Nichols on the OC, Charles Widmore on LOST)

Cynics will no doubt claim that all the ‘Betty hype’ is due to the star actually being ‘ugly’ (a TV first no doubt!), but trust this TV addict, give Betty five minutes and you’ll be hooked for the season.
