THE BIG BANG THEORY knows their audience. Which is why on the November 4th episode entitled “The Apology Insufficiency,” DOLLHOUSE alum Eliza Dushku will follow in the illustrious footsteps of Katee Sackhoff, Summer Glau, and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak as the latest in a string of out of this world guest stars. Playing an FBI agent, it will be up to Dushku to get to know a handful of very unusual suspects we’ve come to affectionally know as Sheldon, Leonard and Raj when Wolowitz’s security clearance comes into question. More first look photos of which can be seen after the jump.

“It’s like DEXTER Freaky.”

Is how actress Eliza Dushku describes an upcoming episode of DOLLHOUSE that revolves around how Dichen Lachman’s Sierra found herself employed by the mysterious Rossum Corporation.

“The episode just blew my mind,” revealed a visibly excited Dushku during a recent one-on-one with the TV Addict. “Dichen’s introduction to the Dollhouse is so dark and layered.”

Two words which coincidentally also sum up the second season of DOLLHOUSE, which returns tonight on FOX at 9PM (Global TV in Canada) after a rocky first season that culminated in a phenomenal string of episode, including the unaired “Epitaph One” (only available on DVD and iTunes)

Just don’t ask Eliza Dushku what’s going to happen next.

“People think I’m playing coy, but I really don’t know what’s going to happen, and I sort of prefer it that way.” explained the actress. “I don’t drill Joss [Whedon] because it’s fun to be just as surprised as everybody else is.”

What Dushku does know is that her character Echo, which found itself the target of a fair bit of criticism last season after being somewhat of a literal blank slate, will be a lot more interesting this year, and fast.

“Echo is no longer a unaware of her surroundings,” says Dushku. “She’s remembering, becoming aware of all these things going on around her. In the first episode alone you begin to see her (alongside handler Paul Ballard) start to work together in order to bring down the Dollhouse. Obviously it’s not a simple task, especially when you begin to realize just how big the Rossum Corporation is.”

Those unfamiliar with the series — which if last year’s ratings are any indication are about 98% of you — should probably know that the Rossum Corporation is not just your every-day Enron (Read: Big evil corporation). It’s one of those only-in-Hollywood big evil corporations whose insatiable quest for money and power found them designing the drug that makes the Dollhouse possible, and, as we saw in “Epitaph One” might invariably lead to the fall of all humankind.

Unless of course Echo can do something about it.

A task which will be made all the more difficult since she will have her hands full in tonight’s season premiere helping Paul Ballard (Tamoh Penikett) bring down a British baddie played by none other than BATTLESTAR GALACTICA alum Jamie Bamber.

Who we should probably mention isn’t the only fan favorite popping by the DOLLHOUSE. Tonight’s premiere includes Alexis Denisof of ANGEL fame playing a politician intent on bringing down the Rossum Corporation. With upcoming episodes featuring BATTLESTAR GALACTICA alum Michael Hogan and Whedon muse Summer Glau, who coincidentally enough began shooting her arc the day after Eliza Dushku sat down to talk with us.

“I’m going to get to work with Summer this week,” teased the actress. “She might be from the DC Dollhouse, she might be some sort of Topher-esque character and she might be really crazy and bad ass. Might be.”

Yeah, we might have to see this.

DOLLHOUSE airs Fridays on FOX at 9PM (Global TV in Canada)

Dear TV Addict, as much as I loved last week’s mythology-laden episode BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, please tell me tonight’s episode involves a lot less thinking? — TighMeUp
The TV Addict: Is it just me, or are TV fans incredibly hard to please? I mean we all spend season after season clamoring for answers, only to complain the moment we finally get them! God help LOSTerminds Damon Lindeloff and Carlton Cuse when they finally fill us all in on the mysteries behind the island, the four-toed statue, Ben’s mom, Claire’s disappearance, Jack’s father… well, you get the idea. But to answer your question, rest assured tonight’s episode is far less taxing on the brain cells. Not only does Ellen Tigh return in all her former glory, she gives new meaning to the phrase, “If this Viper is a rockin’…. don’t come a knockin!”

I have an unhealthy obsession with Jonathan Jackson, can you please tell me we are going to see more of him on TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES. — Jackson1
The TV Addict: I can do one better than simply tell you, I can be the first to reveal to you exclusively that Jonathan Jackson will indeed (all together now) be back, for multiple episodes no less. “Kyle Reese is the kind of character that fans are excited about and is good for the show,” revealed Jackson during last week’s one-on-one with theTVaddict.com. “I’ve shot three episodes so far and I’m about to shoot a fourth in a couple of weeks. A lot of stuff has been in the future, and Brian Austin Green who plays Derek has been great. Such a good guy and a great actor to work with.”

A while back you twittered that you were getting ready to see Lauren Graham in GUYS & DOLLS on Broadway. So… how was she? — StarsHollowHolla
The TV Addict: Well let’s put it this way. Had Rory Gilmore been reviewing the show for the Yale Daily News, she definitely wouldn’t have walked out. In fact, she would have been immensely proud of her fictional TV mom for not only proving that she has the pipes to belong on Broadway. But for more importantly showing that she can actually act and create a character that was hilarious, heartwarming and best of all, absolutely nothing like Lorelai Gilmore. Miss Patty would have been proud… and we’re just going to say, possibly a little jealous.

Got any scoop on Tuesday’s season finale of PRIVILEGED? — Sagetastic13
The TV Addict: Would you settle for a warning? Because if you can’t find the time to rope in at minimum five of your friends into watching one of the season’s most underrated new shows, you’re more likely to catch what will turn out to be the show’s series finale. For more on PRIVILEGED, be sure to check out this <strike>week’s</strike> month’s TV Addict podcast for our spur-of-the-moment SAVE PRIVILEGED campaign!

Any word on how the new season of REAPER is shaping up? — IHeartHarrison
The TV Addict: I will next week after I take the time to crack open the REAPER screener that’s been collecting dust on my desk for the better part of a month now. Stay tuned.

Please tell me tonight’s installment of DOLLHOUSE brings a little more excitement to the table? Because even I, the most ardent of ardent Whedon supporters found last week’s pilot seriously subpar. — WildaboutWhedon
The TV Addict: First of all, do you seriously expect me to believe you’re one of Whedon’s most ardent of ardent supporters when you’re already waving after episode one. Shame one you! That said, you’ll be pleased to know that tonight’s second episode introduces us to an entirely different Echo. One that must outwit, outplay and outlast one ridiculously deranged “client.” Oh, and if that’s not enough of an assurance, how’s this picture? Eliza + Crossbow = Awesome

Ellen Tigh returning to Galactica? Are you Frakkin’ kidding me with this? Where’s the scoop? Anyone could have picked that up from the Frakkin’ trailer? What else ya got? — TotallyFrakkedinTdot
The TV Addict: Putting aside the fact that somebody clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or is taking the fact that we’re a mere month away from Galactica’s final voyage a little too hard, how’s this for genuine TV scoop: Another death hits Galactica tonight, one that will have major implications for the already tenuous human/cylon alliance.

Oh and while we’re on the subject of your cranky moods Mr. TotallyFrakkedinTdot, I should probably take this opportunity to mention that theTVaddict.com has some exciting BATTLESTAR GALACTICA news in the works that is pretty much guaranteed to turn that frown upside-down. Unless of course you live outside of Toronto or the surrounding GTA. Then you’re pretty much still totally Frakked!

I’m finding myself more and more intrigued by the increasingly frequent KINGS trailers that NBC is putting out. What can you tell me about this new series? — Jess
The TV Addict: Having recently had the pleasure of visiting the set of KINGS there is an awful lot I could tell you. Unfortunately, after signing a twenty page document that may or may not have promised my first born to NBC Universal should I share any spoilers, here’s what I can say. While you’ll initially tune in for Ian McShane’s phenomenal portrayal of morally ambiguous King Silas Benjamin, you’ll stick around for easy on the eyes Aussie import Christopher Egan who plays young David Shepherd and Leighton Meester’s real-life boyfriend Sebastian Stan who does a remarkable job of channeling GOSSIP GIRL’s Ed Westwick. Which if you think about it, kind of means that Leighton Meester really does have a thing for Chuck Bass. Interesting.

Want more KINGS scoop? Enjoy this exclusive bloggers Q&A that TV Addict took part in on our recent visit to New York City. And be sure to check back later in the day for a word or two from Ian McShane.

Can you talk a little bit about the genesis of DOLLHOUSE?
Eliza Dushku: I wanted to do another television show, but not just any other television show, I wanted to do something very special and very cool. So after meeting with my friends over at FOX, I called Joss [Whedon], who was actually the only person on my mind and we went to lunch where I asked him to write me the coolest show that he has ever written and he accepted.

It must be nice to have such talented friends!
Yes it is and Joss has delivered and then some. I owe him one.

Since you helped conceive the show with Joss, would it be safe to say that for the first time, you have a lot more of a say with regards to where your character goes than say on TRU CALLING?
Thank God! This is our, Joss’ and my baby. And so I’m definitely in a better position to be heard than on anything else I’ve ever worked on for sure.

What can you tell us about your character, Echo?
Echo is sort of hard to talk about because she doesn’t really have a personality. That said, in the series premiere, we meet a young woman who is broken down, in a jam and doesn’t really have any other option but to join this organization for five yearss. So she enters, signs away on the dotted line and next thing you know, she’s living in the Dollhouse. Echo is a doll for hire.

How much do you know about the person Echo was prior to entering the Dollhouse?
Joss and I have talked a lot about who Caroline was before she entered the Dollhouse, but it’s also being written as we go.

You mentioned that Echo has signed on the dotted line for five years, do you know how many years Echo is into her contract when we first meet her?
I do… and I believe all will be revealed.

As an actress/producer who is putting 110% into the production, has all the negative behind-the-scenes rumblings been disheartening to read and hear about?
People are interested and it’s exciting. We’re thrilled that people are talking about the show and for every crappy thing that is said there are thousands of fans who are jonesing for the show. Of course critics are critical and naysayers really don’t have anything better to do than to spread negativity but at this point it’s all about Friday the thirteenth [the show's premiere date] when people can see it for themselves.

Do you read reviews?
Sometimes. Sometimes they’re helpful and sometimes they teach you something. I remember back in the TRU CALLING days, I think it was Entertainment Weekly that said, “the show has the tag-line what if you had the power to change the future by reliving the past… d’uh. Everyone has the power to change the future, that’s why it’s the future.” And we were like there you go! Thank you Entertainment Weekly. And we stopped running around thinking that we had some really extraordinary tag-line!

For fans who might be taken aback by the lack of action in the series premiere, can you assure fans who are tuning in to see you kick some serious bad guy butt that subsequent episodes will have Echo doing just that.
Rest assured, there is a whole lot of ass-kicking in the second episode. It takes place out in the forest where I’m hired to be ultimate adventure date for three days by this crazy guy. Naturally things go really off the rails and there’s definitely action, adventure amd ass kicking. But I think that we didn’t start of the series with that because it almost would have been too predictable to have me twirling and fighting. We wanted to create a foundation of thought provoking peices and material, which I think episode one does a good job of laying out.

And since I’m a huge fan of one of your earliest films, I have to ask the obligatory question knowing full well that it is probably never going to happen. When are we going to see TRUE LIES 2?
(Laughs) It was a great movie wasn’t it? Sometimes I’ll be in a hotel and it will be on TV and I’ll watch it and be reminded how much fun that was. And there have been rumors but I’m fairly certain they have all been undone.
