Biggest Irony: Even as its one remaining soap, GENERAL HOSPITAL, is the center of constant cancellation rumors, ABC’s primetime slate for next season is looking to be chock-full of sudsy pilots like SCRUPLES (based on the Judith Krantz potboiler) and AMERICANA (which sounds an awful lot like THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL).

Best Reaction Ever: Just when we thought we couldn’t love Kristen Bell anymore comes her appearance on Monday’s ELLEN. Also, anyone else thinking how cool it might be to be reincarnated as a sloth in the next life?

Our Humblest Suggest: Newly-bankrupt Kodak wants it’s name removed from the famous theater in which the Academy Awards are held. With that in mind, how about everyone starts referring to it as The TV Addict Theater?

And This Week’s Award For Most Valuable Guest Star Goes To… : Lizzy Caplan, who finally calling out Zooey Deschanel’s NEW GIRL on, “Your whole thing. With the cupcakes and the breaking for birds, and the bluebirds come and help me dress in the morning!”

Worst Role Model Of The Week: Patriots quarterback Tom Brady admitted to illegally streaming last year’s Super Bowl. Hey, Tom, wanna know why SOPA and PIPA became such a big deal? Look in the mirror, dude.

Most Disturbing Scene, Daytime Division: Even many folks who love GENERAL HOSPITAL’s JaSam (aka Jason and Sam Morgan) were disturbed when the pregnant heroine — whose baby may-or-may-not be the result of her rape at the, er, hands of a madman — said that a miscarriage might solve all her problems.

The Award For The Plot Twist That Was Positively Brilliant And Downright Ridiculous At The Exact Same Time Goes To… : GOSSIP GIRL, which revealed that the show’s mysterious titular character was actually troublemaking Georgina Sparks.

Biggest Misfire: Was a slushie laced with rock salt seriously the best way a roomful of writers could plausibly give Darren Criss enough time off so that he could wow audiences in Broadway’s How To Succeed? Really?

Best Casting: Sure, we were hoping Jane Badler would get the part, but Barbara Hershey will make an awesome mom to ONCE UPON A TIME’s evil queen.

Channel Most In Need Of Birth Control Lessons: ABC Family renewed THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER and picked up a new sitcom called BABY DADDY about an unwed father.

Proof Things Can Always Get Worse: We thought the political system had sunk as far as it could when Donald Trump was taken “seriously” in some circles as a presidential candidate. Then, Roseanne Barr entered the race.

Most Intriguing Reboot: We’ll admit to having originally been skeptical about NBC’s remake of THE MUNSTERS, but TVLine.com’s report that the show would have a new title — MOCKINGBIRD LANE — has us extremely interested.

Best Sport: You gotta give a “Hallelu!” to Shangela, who allowed herself to be boxed, mocked and attacked by zombies on the season premiere of RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE. Here’s hoping she becomes a running gag all season.

Not So Super Idea: Just when we thought the hype surrounding Super Bowl commercials couldn’t get any sillier, the studio behind The Avengers goes ahead and releases a teaser… for their teaser!

Your recent interview with HART OF DIXIE creator Leila Gerstein zapped this Zoe/Wade shipper of pretty much all hope for a season ending hook-up. Is there anything at all you can tell me to make me feel better? — Lisa
The TV Addict: Not really! What’s more, if you didn’t enjoy our recent one-on-one with Leila Gerstein, you’re really not going to like the one teensy little tidbit of information that we left out of the piece that alludes to the fact that mathematically speaking, one of your favorite DIXIE denizens is all but guaranteed to end the season with a broken heart. Revealed Gerstein, “Between Zoe, Lemon, Wade, George and Lavon there are an uneven number of boys and girls and someone is going to be left out in the cold. I know that.”

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I’m hoping you can give me some heartwarming news for those of us still rooting for Mark and Lexie on GREY’S ANATOMY. — Brenda
The TV Addict: Mark and Lexie fans will be happy to know that the two genetically-blessed doctors will be spending the most romantic day of the year together. Slightly less exciting is what they’ll be doing on Valentine’s day, which is babysitting for Meredith/Derek and Arizonz/Callie’s respective babies!

Any scoop on my favorite new series ONCE UPON A TIME? — Rich
The TV Addict: Do you happen to know an 11 to 14 year old girl who looks eerily like a young Ginnifer Goodwin? If so, get them to a talent agent STAT (!) because producers are currently on the look out for a young Snow White. (Legal Mumbo Jumbo: By accepting this bit of casting scoop you may-or-may-not have inadvertently promised theTVaddict.com 10% of any and all earnings should said aforementioned 11 to 14 year old girl turn into the next Dakota/Elle Fanning!)

Is Kristen Bell really going to reunite with her VERONICA MARS co-star Max Greenfield on NEW GIRL? — Mikey
The TV Addict: If the artist formerly known as Deputy Leo has anything to say about, damn straight! “I just think ultimately that would be really awesome,” said Greenfield during a recent one on one with the TV Addict. “I have so many people who know me from VERONICA MARS — which is unbelievable all these years later — I think it would be fun for the fans to have that little moment and it would be great for our show to have Kristen on it. She was really great to me on VERONICA MARS and it would be so awesome to have have her.” (Click here for more with Max Greenfield)

As someone who has watched far too much television over the course of my thirty-something years, I’m starting to get a really bad feeling about Julia and Joel’s impending adoption on PARENTHOOD. Care to alleviate my fears? — Michelle
The TV Addict: As much as we would love to alleviate your fears, all we can really say on the subject is that Julia and Joel will be welcoming a new face into their home prior to the end of PARENTHOOD’s fantastic third season. Emphasis on the ambiguity of said aforementioned “new face” that — much to our chagrin — in no way guarantees that we’re talking about Zoe’s baby.

Any teasers about what to expect from the next week or two of my favorite new show, DOWNTON ABBEY? — Jack
The TV Addict: Oh, Jack, trust us when we say the next few episodes are game changers in every sense of the word. Get ready to put a face to a name from the past who will shake up everyone upstairs while the downstairs crew will be rocked when a twist of fate brings good news and bad for everyone’s favorite maid and her lame-legged beau. In other news, the war ends (no spoilers as to who wins!), Thomas’ shady behavior bites him in the butt and death pays a visit to the Abbey. As for Matthew and Mary? In true soap opera style, one moment will change their destinies… possibly forever!

Having endured every single episode of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES I simply must know which Fairview resident is going to kick it prior to this May’s series finale. — Orly
The TV Addict: Since we’re by no means sure as to which of Wisteria Lane’ long suffering residents is going to end the show’s run six feet under, we’ll simply say this: Sources close to production have let it slip that one unlucky wife will very soon be in the market for a pine box of a more manly variety.

Any intel on when ALCATRAZ fans can expect to learn more about Madsen’s grandfather? — Dylan
The TV Addict: Yes! When Madsen isn’t busy hunting down Johnny McKee — a former Rock inmate notorious for chemically induced killings — more details surrounding her mysterious grandfather are expected to emerge on the February 20th episode of ALCATRAZ. Update: We stand corrected! In response to this just posted edition of “Ask the Addict,” ALCATRAZ creator Bryan Wynbrandt has kindly informed us via Twitter that it’s actually this weeks episode that will delve deeply into Rebecca’s grandfather’s past. So set your DVR/PVR accordingly!

Is there any truth to the rumor that Damon is going to cheat on Elena in an upcoming episode of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES? — Jessica
The TV Addict: Suffice it to say, truth is in the eye of the beholder. Which is to say, what Damon might or might not have done really depends on your interpretation of the following sentence parsed from the February 15th episode of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: “Elena learns about a startling indiscretion by Damon.”

Got anything for us GLEEks? — Maddie
The TV Addict: If by “anything,” you mean a first look at Rachel Berry’s adoptive parents Hiram (Jeff Goldblum) and Leroy (Brian Stokes Mitchell) who will play a pivotal role in GLEE’s February 14th Valentine’s Day themed episode appropriately titled “Heart,” well then yes.

Whether you’ve been a fan of actress Vanessa Lengies from her days starting out on AMERICAN DREAMS or discovered her more recently courtesy of her latest role that sees her stepping into the shoes of GLEE’s Sugar Motta, odds are fairly good that “Today’s TV Addict Top 5″ that has us revealing a handful of things you don’t know about the actress will be news to you (Particularly Point #4!). See for yourself, after the jump.

She’s Canadian!
Having found her way onto Hollywood’s radar playing a quintessential american teenager in the much-beloved-but-short-lived NBC series AMERICAN DREAMS, it may surprise many to learn that actress Vanessa Lengies is… wait for it… part of the not-so-secret cabal of Canadians doing a fairly good job of making their Hollywood dreams come true in Los Angeles. “Us Canadians stick together out here! Dustin Milligan [90210] was my roommate for years and years and years in Los Angeles and before that he was roommates with Cory Monteith,” explained Lengies on her all-too-familiar Canadian connections. “Cory invited me to the original screening for the pilot of GLEE where we joked about how much fun it would be to work together, so when I showed up on set he just howled with laughter.”

Showed no trepidation in tackling her controversial GLEE character.
Seeing as though an offer to appear on one of television’s hottest shows probably isn’t something that comes along every day, it’s no surprise that Lengies jumped at the chance to appear on GLEE. What was surprising was her fearlessness when it came to tackling what has become quite a controversial character. “I was not at all apprehensive to play this character with self-diagnosed Asperger’s because I just though it was funny how she could get away with saying whatever she wanted,” explained Lengies on Sugar Motto and her small screen alter-ego’s penchant for speaking her mind. “I’ve actually talked to a friend of mine who work with kids with Asperger’s and he was saying that the parents of these kids were so happy that they were talking about Asperger’s, even if it wasn’t to deal with real Asperger’s because being on GLEE — such a prominently watched show — it was kind of raising awareness for something that everybody might not know about. Like everything on GLEE, it’s not how you feel about teenage homosexuality, it’s about the fact that it’s being talked about and therefore in people’s consciousness.”

She’s an Artie and Sugar “Shipper.”
Valentine’s Day just got a wee bit more interesting. Or at least that’s the distinct impressions Lengies left us with regards to GLEE’s upcoming holiday-themed episode that will see Sugar find herself as the object of not just one, but two McKinley High student’s affections. But just who is Lengies rooting for in terms of Rory or Artie? Explained Lengies, “I love the idea of Sugar and Artie because I love the how the fandom put people’s names together. I feel so young when I say these kind of things by the way, but I love Sugar and Artie because it’s ‘Shartie’!”

She wasn’t familiar with SMASH.
Despite our best effort to stir up a controversy by adding flames to the the inevitable “GLEEks” versus “SMASH-ers fire,” Lengies wasn’t having it. Not so much because she’s above all that (Joked the actress, “If there’s a rivalry to be had, I need to be a part of this!”) but rather because — unlike a certain TV blogger who shall remain nameless — she’s far too busy working to pay attention to NBC’s marketing blitz. Said Lengies, “You’re asking the wrong person, I don’t know what SMASH is! I don’t have cable anymore which is so embarrassing to say because I act.” Also of interest, Lengies’ behind-the-scenes insight that will surely be of interest to anyone rooting for SMASH to be the savior of NBC. “Because GLEE is a musical show, one of the music producers told me that they thought the audience would really flip out for the Broadway musical numbers, but what they found was that the reaction has been the exact opposite,” explained Lengies. “People flip for all the non-broadway songs. You’d think people who would love musicals would be the audience for GLEE and therefore love the show doing musicals but apparently it’s more about pop songs and oldies.”

Yes, she misses AMERICAN DREAMS as much as you do.
And finally, because it wouldn’t be an interview with a television star without asking them about a previous project fans can’t seem to let go, you’ll be happy to learn that Lengies misses her time on the short-lived NBC series as much as you miss watching it. “I love that show too and the answer is yes [when asked if she still keeps in touch with her AMERICAN DREAMS co-stars],” said Lengies. “I’m really close with Will Estes who is now in BLUE BLOOD in New York, Brittany [Snow] and I don’t see each other all the time but everyone still keeps in touch. Tom Verica, Gale O’Grady, it was such a family show and I feel like they’re kind of my family. Even if we don’t talk everyday we can still get on the phone and there’s this love.”

GLEE airs Tuesdays at 8PM FOX (Global TV in Canada) and stars Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Harry Shum Jr. and Darren Criss. Catch up with past episodes you may have missed for free online at clicktowatch.tv

Most Manipulative Match: Conspiring with a priest to destroy Blair’s marriage means it’s official… GOSSIP GIRL’s Chuck is hellbound!

Least Shocking Spoiler: Entertainment Weekly reported that a “major character” would be killed off DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES in March. Not particularly earth-shattering given that the entire show will bite the dust a few months later.

Speaking Of Wisteria Lane… : Why the heck, you ask, are we still watching this increasingly lifeless show as it limps toward the grave? Completion issues.

Best Gene Pool Ever: Matt Bomer of WHITE COLLAR has been cast to play the brother of GLEE’s Darren Criss.

Intriguing Fact We Didn’t Necessarily Need To Know: PROJECT RUNWAY guru Tim Gunn hasn’t had sex in 29 years. Try unknowing that!

Most Anticipated Drama: We don’t give two hoots about the upcoming show ANGER MANAGEMENT, but we do hope someone’s smart enough to record the backstage antics of stars Charlie Sheen and Shawnee Smith.

Best Relocation: When THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Adam refused to resign from the family company, papa Victor had the troublemaker’s desk moved… to the men’s room!

Proof There’s Hope For This Country Yet: THE BIG BANG THEORY actually beat AMERICAN IDOL in overall viewers.

Most Ironic Development: In announcing their upcoming summer telenovela, REACH FOR A STAR, Nickelodeon said, “We’ve experienced first-hand the popularity of the daily scripted format.” Of course, kids raised on these new soaps will eventually age into a world that has canceled all of the daily scripted programming aimed at adults ala ONE LIFE TO LIVE!

Saddest Joke Ever: Increasingly loony SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE alum Victoria Jackson — who’s still riding the birther train, God bless her empty little head — told the Miami News Times she should run for office because she’s “the only person who has reason, common sense and sanity.”

Most Easily Made Mistake: Admit it. When you read articles that said “MOB WIVES’ Big Ang was once a… ” you assumed the sentence would end with “man” not, as it turned out, “cocaine dealer.”

Why Reality Television Needs To Die: NBC will air a FEAR FACTOR episode involving a challenge in which people must drink donkey semen. Oh, and wash it down with urine.

Best First-Date Story Ever: Former NANNY Fran Drescher claimed in an interview that she and her husband “were programmed to meet” after separately being abducted by aliens as teens.

The Borg Would Approve: Proving that corporate America is slowly morphing into one big company, an article on TODAY.com about a yanked DOWNTON ABBEY line of jewelry concluded with the disclaimer “Carnival is part of NBC Universal. TODAY.COM is part of msnbc.com, a joint venture of Comcast/NBC Universal and Microsoft.” Face it, kids… resistance is futile.

Any scoop on Sunday’s episode of THE GOOD WIFE?
The TV Addict: Having recently had the pleasure of sneaking a peek at Sunday’s episode (And yes, we’re well aware how awesome our job can be!) we can assure you that this weekends much-anticipated return of hit CBS series is sooooooo worth the wait. And while we’re not about to spoil the outcome of Wendy Scott-Carr’s increasingly intrusive investigation into Will Gardner’s on court activities, we will alert you to the fact that sparks will fly. Specifically between Alicia and Peter, who have exchange so tense, it would make Jackie blush! Also of note for fans of Archie Panjabi is a confrontation between Kalinda and Monica Raymond’s Dana that gets a little physical. Read into that what you will.

Cannot express how pleased I was to see theTVaddict.com jump on the SWITCHED AT BIRTH bandwagon earlier in the week. Gushing aside, any clues as to how serious Daphne and Wilke are going to get?
The TV Addict: Serious enough that the sources close to the production have let it slip that Producers are currently on the lookout for an actor to play Wilke’s dad! That’s the good news. With the bad news beings that whomever snags the part of Wilke’s dad may very soon be on the receiving end of a very upsetting phone call. Gulp!

Please tell me you know how Rachel is going to respond to Finn’s proposal on GLEE?
The TV Addict: While we’re not about to pretend we know the outcome of Finn’s proposal on GLEE, we do know what will complicated things: The Tuesday January 31st episode that will see both Kurt and Rachel hear about their applications to the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts. Double Gulp!

According to a recent tweet of yours, you recently had the opportunity to talk to GLEE’s Vanessa Lengies. Did she happen to spill anything about a possible Sugar/Artie hookup?
The TV Addict: Interestingly enough, she did. But rather than listen to us blabber on wouldn’t you much prefer to hear from the source of the information herself? Said Lengies, in a full interview that we’ll be sharing next Tuesday on theTVaddict.com, “In the episode that just aired they had to cut a scene at the end which was kind of like an Artie/Sugar cliffhanger, so stay tuned.”

Seeing as though I remain completely freaked out by Monday’s episode of ALCATRAZ, I was hoping you could prepare me for some of the insane baddies we can expect tosee pop up in upcoming episodes.
The TV Addict: While you’ll be happy to know that Monday’s criminal of the week will be far less cringeworthy than last Monday’s uber-creepy child killer. Odds are you’ll be slightly less than excited to learn that this Monday’s Bank robber Cal Sweeney will be played by none a ROOKIE BLUE gone bad Eric Johnson (Pictured below).

With the return of DEGRASSI just around the corner, I was hoping you had some intel to share on what fans might expect.
The TV Addict: With DEGRASSI having finished completed shooting their season quite some time ago, the only thing we really have to share is a ridiculous vague tease from Executive Producer/Director Stefan Brogren who had this to say during our recent visit to the set of THE L.A. COMPLEX, “One of your favorite characters is going to turn out to be not such a nice person.”

Is there any truth to the rumor that Fiona gets knocked up on SHAMELESS this season?
The TV Addict: No! That said, we can assure you that one beloved denizen of the South Side will very soon be eating for two. What’s more, she won’t be the only one harboring a secret as evidence by Steve’s unexpected return that brings with him an entirely new set of complications.

Is Monday’s episode of HOUSE really as big a deal as my Twitter feed is making it seem?
The TV Addict: Considering it’s not everyday that executive producer/director Greg Yaitanes takes the time to email select members of the media with a personal note expressing that the Monday February 6th episode entitled is “the work I am most proud of in my 16 years on the floor directing television,” we’re going to go out on a limb and say yes! What’s that… still not convinced? Yaitanes continues, “Jeffrey Wright (“The Ides of March”) is the guest star and is at the heart of our episode as the arbiter of House’s fate. Watching him and Hugh Laurie work is how I imagine the Gehrig/Ruth Yankees must have been to watch play. They spend the episode across the table from each other and their work is substantial. “Nobody’s Fault” is written by Russel Friend, Garrett Lerner and David Foster, who also wrote “House’s Head” in Season Four that I was fortunate to direct. We’ve created something very special to us – something important to the story fate of the show and something that we are excited to share.”

Some HAPPY ENDINGS scoop would make me really happy.
The TV Addict: Well consider today your lucky day, because we just stumbled across a first look photo of James Wolk’s (RIP LONE STAR) upcoming guest appearance as Max’s “perfect” boyfriend Grant from the February 15th episode appropriately titled, “Everybody Loves Grant.” Enjoy.

Are you one of the millions of GLEEKs still reeling from Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly’s recent announcement that seniors Rachel, Finn and Kurt will officially be graduating from McKinley High at the end of the season? Curious as to what exactly that means for Kurt and Blaine’s future? If so, you’re most definitely not going to want to miss out on this exclusive one-on-one with star Chris Colfer, who dishes on his reaction to the graduation news and offers his take on how that might affect his on screen alter-ego’s love life. See for yourself, after the jump.

Firstly, what was your reaction to the news that your character will not be getting a spin-off but rather return to the series in some magical capacity that creator Ryan Murphy has shrouded in secrecy?
Chris Colfer: Well I’m really excited about. I of course can’t explain it right now but I think everyone is going to be really happy about it. With alluding to anything, not doing the spinoff anymore is kind of going to be the best of both worlds.

What affect, if any, do you think Kurt graduating is going to have on his relationship with Blaine?
I really don’t know. I think that they’re going to maybe separate eventually. But I mean I say that and I get a lump in my throat because I think people are going to kill me for even mentioning that. But I don’t know. I’m anxious to see how that works too. Realistically these character would be together for a good amount of time and then separate, that’s just how life is, but we’ll see, I don’t know.

In terms of Kurt’s final semester, what can you tease about what his journey will entail?
Well I was talking to Ryan [Murphy] and I think they’re going to have something pretty epic planned for him. He actually pulled me aside on set two days ago and was like we’re planning on doing something pretty great with Kurt and kind of filled me in and I’m really really excited about it. I think it’s going to turn out pretty great.

Does that “something pretty epic” refer to more of a school thing for Kurt or is it one more personal in nature?
I think it’s going to be epic in general. For him as a character, but probably more so for the character and less about school.

And finally, having parlayed your role on GLEE into a slew of different projects including movies and books would a small part of you been okay had Ryan Murphy simply decided to graduate your character, and in doing so free you up to focus on your ever-expanding empire?
No because it’s been so much of my life I almost don’t know how my life would be without it. That crew is really like our second family. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t get to see the hair and makeup people everyday and the sound people and the wardrobe people. I feel like I get my best ideas for other things when I’m on set so I wouldn’t want to leave.

Good News: On hand at last night’s Fox Winter TCA All-Star Party to offer their reaction to Kevin Reilly’s announcement over the weekend officially confirming that McKinley High’s most popular seniors will in fact be graduating at the end of this season were GLEE stars Cory Monteith and Lea Michele. Bad News: They weren’t so forthcoming when it came to their recent ‘hush-hush’ conversations with creator Ryan Murphy as per the exciting and unexpected new direction the show will be taking in its fourth season.

“I’m so excited, I spoke with Ryan today and he told me that I can definitely let people know that Rachel will be back next year,” revealed a visibly excited Lea Michele during Sunday’s All-Star Party in beautiful Pasadena California. “He told me his plan and it’s incredibly groundbreaking and revolutionary for television. The way he’s figured out to include these graduated high school students on this show, it’s very exciting.”

Equally enthusiastic was co-star Cory Monteith, who was not just quick to echo Michele’s sentiments in terms of Murphy’s idea (“I’m thrilled that they’ve found a really cool idea to bring characters who are graduating at the end of season 3, like myself, back into the fold. The concept of how the GLEE world is going to work is a lot different than what people are used to but at the same time incorporates McKinley High with where these other characters are heading after graduation.”) but Finn’s trajectory as the show kicks off the second half of the season. “I think his emotional arc is greater in stuff coming up than anything we’ve ever seen before.”

Unfortunately, while Monteith was quick to alleviate the fears of many ‘Finchel’ fans (Editor’s Note: ‘Finchel’ refers to the very vocal segment of the GLEE fandom emotionally invested in Rachel and Finn’s relationship) with regards to what challenges lie ahead for GLEE’s favourite couple by going on record that “there is a future for Rachel and Finn,” he wasn’t nearly as definitive on what said aforementioned emotional arc might entail. Except to say that it touches on all aspects of his character’s life, “independent and with his relationship” and that his character is “definitely pushed to his limits.”

Equally elusive was Michele, who while also assuring ‘Finchel’ fans that their favourite couple’s future was one of hope (“Cory [Monteith] and I like to say we’re like a two-for-one deal. She wouldn’t be there without him. I think ‘Finchel’ fans are going to be really happy about our upcoming storyline.”) did tease that “something big” was in store for the talented twosome.

But before that something ‘big’ can happen, GLEE fans should expect the show to hit a bit of a lighter note prior to what sounds like an emotionally charged closing arc to the season. “We’re working on Spanish music week with Ricky Martin who is guesting on the episode,” revealed Monteith. “And to be honest, he was so famous as a kid I was just starstruck when I met him.”

11:07AM: Before submitting himself to the firing squad that is a roomful of tired and cranky television critics, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly announces plans for a new late night animated comedy block (Think: Adult Swim) that will air Saturdays at 11PM – 12:30AM starting in January 2013.

11:14AM: Despite going on record during the previous summer’s TCA Press Tour that the Network would be making a decision on the future (or lack thereof) of HOUSE sometime in the Fall, Reilly fesses up to failure to communicate. “To be honest with you, it’s hard to imagine the Network with HOUSE so we kind of agreed to mutually put off any decision until the first of the year and we still have yet to sit down and see where we are,” Reilly says, being sure to add for any anxious fans who may-or-may-not be reading this. “We haven’t had the big meeting yet, but we are not going to be unceremoniously handing out pink slips. If it’s the end of the run there is no way [Creator] David Shore is going to let the fans feel that it wasn’t capped off properly.”

11:17AM: Continuing this session’s somewhat alarming theme of a complete and utter lack of answers comes Reilly’s take on the future of TERRA NOVA. First the good news: Fox made money, the show looked fantastic and all evidence points to the show really resonated with the family audience. Bad News: Despite an immensely likeable cast and some fantastic ideas, Reilly did admit to the show “creatively hunting” throughout much of the first season. In short: Due to production needs, a decision will be made on the show’s future within the next month.

11:20AM: Reilly continues to be immensely happy with the performance of THE X FACTOR. Unfortunately for embattled host Steve Jones, he was slightly less than enthusiastic about his future job stability, only going to far as say, “It’s a much harder job than meets the eye, and whether Steve’s the guy or not, there will be some tweaks to the show.”

11:21AM: And speaking of hostesses with the mostess, Reilly claims “It’s very hard to imagine the show [AMERICAN IDOL] without Ryan Seacrest.”

11:22AM: Still reeling over the ambiguity of HOUSE’s future, well this news probably won’t be of much help. The time for a HOUSE spin-off has come and gone. “We talked about a spin-off over the past few seasons but David [Creator David Shore] just never creatively found something that excited him,” says Reilly, adding, “[Editor's Note: Unlike NBC!] We’re not in that desperate place where we need to try and keep that the show going and we definitely don’t want some watered down version of the show.”

11:23AM: Is there such a thing as too much reality TV? Short Answer: “No!” Long Answer: Although he expects ratings for AMERICAN IDOL to be slightly down this season due to the fact that it’s going on an 11 year show, audiences remain passionate. Reilly sights the recent fan reaction to SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE’s format change, “I think all of our competition shows will be here for quite some time.”

11:28AM: Bad news for all seven fans of ALLEN GREGORY, It’s over. “We had a great experience with [creator] Jonah Hill, we’re in business with him, but animation is particularly challenging,” admits Reilly, who goes on to call the future of BOB’s BURGERS very promising.

11:33AM: Duh of the Day: Fox is not in the business of losing money! Which could potentially spell doom for the future of FRINGE. For while Reilly loves the show, calling it “a point of pride” for him and applauding it for “vastly improving our Friday night,” it’s an expensive show. “The hesitation in my voice is that it’s an expensive show and we lose a lot of money,” says Reilly, who goes on to say that discussions with Producing partner Warner Bros Television have yet to really heat up. “Please don’t start the letter-writing campaign. I can’t take it.”

11:37AM: Remember last fall when the internet all but imploded on itself when word leaked out with regards to a GLEE spin-off? Well you can forget it, because according to Reilly, the GLEE kids aren’t going anywhere “There will not be a GLEE spinoff but those characters will graduate,” promises Reilly. “It has led to a very cool idea that Ryan [Murphy] and the guys [writing staff] have come up with for next season that will be set up in the Spring batch of episodes. I think it’s going to really give us something cool to dig into next season.”

11:38AM: Fan(s) of I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER (Beuller? Beuller?) will be pleased to discover that Reilly plans on airing all six or seven remaining episodes. What’s more, he’s determined to get back in the business of multi-camera comedies pointing to CBS as evidence that audiences want to see them. “I know some of them are excruciatingly bad, but audiences clearly want to watch comedy again and I want to feed that.”
