CBS has posted a sneak preview of their newest HOUSE/GREY’S/CSI mash-up, entitled 3 LBS. Starring Stanley Tucci and Mark Feuerstein, 3 LBS revolves around brain surgeons, and in case you’re wondering, the show’s title refers to the weight of a human brain. Click here to visit CBS’ Innertube.

In more CBS news, the Tiffany Network has posted the remaining episodes of the Ray Liotta vehicle SMITH. Memo to NBC, when are we going to see the remaining episodes of KIDNAPPED online? Click here to visit CBS’ Innertube.

On NBC.com fans of THE OFFICE will be able to view a first-ever, web-exclusive “producer’s cut” of the November 9th episode. The episode will include additional scenes and extra footage not shown in the broadcast version. No doubt Canadian fans (and fans throughout the rest of the world) will be left in the dust, but it won’t stop this TV Addict from logging on and hoping that NBC is kind enough to let us watch the show.

In more NBC news, the network has launched the first ever broadband comedy channel dotcomedy.com. Original Comedic Material will be showcased along with highlights from NBC’s Legendary Late-night Shows and Library. Canadians don’t fret, as a public service, the site’s already been tested by this TV Addict and thankfully it’s available to those of us up here in the great white north (yes, I’m talking about Canada).

SMITH is officially the first show to be cancelled. The Ray Liotta heist drama will be replaced temporarily by reruns of CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI. I love Ray Liotta and was hoping to get into the show, I just didn’t have time to fit it into my schedule yet. I guess I can delete the three episodes of SMITH that I have saved on my PVR.

The more I think about it, the more I loved LOST’S third season premiere. Henry Gale (aka Ben) is the best television villain since Arvin Sloane in his heyday (ALIAS season 1 & 2).

Kudos to NBC for giving the writers of KIDNAPPED enough time to write a proper ending to what is now a 13 episode series. Thanks for actually respecting the fans and not pulling a ‘REUNION’ on us.

30 ROCK premieres this Wednesday on NBC. Having seen the pilot, I don’t think I’ve ever been more disappointed by a series premiere. I’ve loved Tina Fey’s work on SNL and MEAN GIRLS. Note to Fey: This isn’t Saturday Night Live, it’s a comedy series: You’re expected to be funny.

How is it that the sixth season of DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION premieres in the United Stated before it does in Canada? DEGRASSI is Canada’s most popular export. How on earth do our friends to the south get to see if first? Once again CTV, wake up and respect your audience.

How about an all star cast featuring Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), Simon Baker (THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA), Shohreh Aghdashloo (24), and Virginia Madsen (SIDEWAYS). With a great timeslot (following THE UNIT), a like-able cast, and really cool bank robberies, SMITH may turn into Well’s biggest hit since ER — assuming audiences don’t [yet again] reject the bank robbing premise.

So when she decided to leave the GILMORE GIRLS, following a difficult contract negotiation with Warner Bros, odds were that she wasn’t going to go quietly.

That ‘gasp’ you heard during last May’s fifth season finale was the frustration of millions of angry GILMORE fans who were shocked and disappointed to watch their beloved Lorelai self-destruct; sleeping with Christopher and essentially destroyed her relationship with Luke. It’s now up to new show-runner David Rosenthal to right the ship, get Luke and Lorelai’s relationship back on track, and put the comedy back into what was once television’s most entertaining and enjoyable hour of tv.

VERONICA MARS (9PM CW, Returns Oct. 3) With a new network, a dream lead-in (GILMORE GIRLS) and a massive promotional push, it’s game time – and Mars’ Mastermind Rob Thomas is pulling out all the stops. In an interview with theTVaddict.com [coming soon] he couldn’t contain his excitement about the new network (the CW), new format (three self contained mysteries) and new cast members (fan favourite ‘Mac’ joins the cast as a permanent member). Of course all this excitement will mean nothing if VERONICA MARS doesn’t attract new viewers. Star Kristen Bell (Veronica) said it best in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, “Its do-or-die, If we hold GILMORE’S audience, we get a full season. If we don’t, we can be gone earlier.” Picked up for 13 episodes, VERONICA MARS will have half a season to prove that it deserves a permanent spot on the CW’s schedule.
