This just in: TV Showrunner Madness is not for the faint of heart. What started out as a field of 48 very deserving scribes has been whittled down to an elite 8 12. Which of course is where things get tricky.

And by that we mean, how can you possibly choose between ARROW’s Greg Berlanti or the dynamic duo of ONCE UPON A TIME’s Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz? Do the comedic talents behind NEW GIRL (Liz Meriwether) measure up to the trifecta of comedic talents that created FRIENDS (David Crane/Kevin Bright/Marta Kauffman)? And can the twenty million or so supporters of NCIS’ Shane Brennan possibly defeat Joss Whedon’s army of acolytes? Well, hold onto your hats folks because we’re about to find out.

After an astounding 75,000 votes, what started with forty-eight very deserving showrunners in our second-annual TV Showrunner Madness Competition has been whittled down to one with CASTLE’s Andrew Marlowe coming out victorious in a truly epic battle against UK counterpart Steven Moffat. Accordingly, we here at theTVaddict.com would not only like to take this opportunity to thank all of our passionate and vocal readers for voting, but the equally enthused Showrunners for being such good sports.
