Socially awkward forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperence “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel) teams up with intuitive FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) to investigate crimes that have left scant evidence behind: namely, the bones of the deceased. The scientist — who moonlights as a best-selling novelist — and the skeptic eventually forge an unlikely friendship in this darkly comic procedural set at a research institution in Washington, D.C.
