She was trained by Mags Bennett (Margo Martindale) and the best criminal minds of Harlan County; so Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) is naturally a little cautious about rushing to Loretta’s rescue when she is usually perfectly capable of rescuing herself. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES Scoop: A Reunion Is Coming

One of the biggest and juiciest tidbits gleaned from the recent celebration on behalf of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’ 100th Episodes was the fact that the 100th episode will be a reunion episode.  But if anyone knows Mystic Falls’ history, it is not a high school reunion that everyone is talking about.  It is a reunion of lost souls – the dearly departed killed off before their time.  But just who is coming back to visit and for how long, that’s the mystery of the 100th episode.

During red carpet interviews this past weekend, the cast of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, along with a few familiar faces of characters long-gone, were on hand to talk about which of the show’s many character deaths hit them the hardest and who they would not hesitate to resurrect in a heartbeat to bring back to the show.

While none of the cast or even producers were willing to spoil the fun surprise of which of the killed-off characters would be making an appearance in the 100th episode, everyone sure had a fun time talking about which deaths rocked their worlds and who they wanted to see return on the show – whether for the 100th episode or in some future episode of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. PaleyFest Fall TV Preview: Robbie Amell, Mark Pellegrino and Julie Plec Preview THE TOMORROW PEOPLE

By Sarah Stephens

The CW is determined to be the leader in genre programming. They’ve covered vampires, witches, werewolves, comic books superheroes and everything else under the spectrum. With the new pilot THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, premiering Wed, Oct 9th at 9pm, they’re taking on the next steps in human evolution. Based on a British series from the 70’s, the Tomorrow People are seemingly normal humans with latent “special powers” like telekinesis, teleportation and telepathy, which break out in their teens. Mix in a super-secret military organization hunting down the Tomorrow People, long dead family secrets coming to the surface and some pretty fun visual effects and you’ve got an entertaining new series.

But will THE TOMORROW PEOPLE stand out amongst a slew of new shows this fall and all the genre series already established? Time and some decent writing will tell. THE TOMORROW PEOPLE has a powerhouse team behind it in executive producers Greg Berlanti (ARROW), Julie Plec (VAMPIRE DIARIES) and director Danny Cannon (NIKITA). Not to mention a strong (and very attractive) cast lead by Robbie Amell (1600 PENN) staring as Steven Jameson and Mark Pellegrino (LOST, SUPERNATURAL) as antagonist Dr. Jedikiah Price. Series leads Robbie Amell and Mark Pellegrino joined Greg Berlanti, Julie Plec and Danny Cannon at the Paley Center Fall TV Preview for the CW in Beverly Hills. First, they stopped by the red carpet to chat with us on what THE TOMORROW PEOPLE is all about and to give some insight on what to expect from the first season. [Read more…]
