Yes I know the Olympics are supposed to be a ‘magical time.’ For two weeks every two years, the world puts down their guns, and gets together to compete in Ancient Greek sporting events (Not sure I remember reading about the Greeks Bobsledding in my history books).
Yet while the world is glued to their TV, I (for once) am not. The Olympics have pre-empted some of my favourite shows, and completely messed up my own ‘magical time’ known as February Sweeps! What should have been a month of endless excitement filled with twists, turns and unexpected death – has been replaced with the bobsled and luge (How is it a sport when anyone can fly down a hill really fast on ice?)
Ratings are down for this year’s Olympics, proving I’m not the only one anxiously awaiting for the Olympic flame to be extinguished.
