In a move that comes as a surprise to no one. FOX has signed Keifer Sutherland to three more seasons of 24 (72 hours if my math is correct!) Why has Jack Bauer commited himself to putting his life on the line for three more dreadful days, there are 40 million reasons why! FOX has made Sutherland the richest actor on dramatic TV, with a 3 year 40 million dollar deal. Aside from the payoff, the actor also elevates him to full executive producer status on the show, and provides funding (he needs more funding?) for his production company.
My question of course is how on earth is 24 going to remain fresh for three more seasons with Jack at the helm. I have actually been hoping they’d introduce a new star next year to mix things up. There are only so many ways Jack can survive a gun shot/drug addiction/bomb explosion/terrorist kidnapping etc…
