Extra just issued a press release stating breaking news: Rosie O’Donnell will replace the departing Meredith Vieira on THE VIEW. A confirmation from ABC is expected today. This sounds like a brilliant move by The View. Love her or hate her, Rosie attracts an audience, and isn’t afraid to voice her opinion. It will be interesting to see how she fits in with the current gaggle of opinionated strong women. Personally, I think Rosie could take down Star Jones anytime.
