This Week on TV

What’s new this week on TV? A lot! Summer is definitely heating up (in more ways than one: 107°F anyone??) and I’m loving it! (Well, not the 107°F part!) Aside from the shows on currently, I managed to see Jericho and I absolutely adored it. I can’t wait for the new Fall season to start! But on to this week, not the next few months…

Sunday is actually pretty slow, with only Big Brother: All-Stars, The 4400 & The Dead Zone new. Well, aside from the Miss Universe 2006 Pageant on NBC. I guess if you are into that sort of thing, it’s a big deal. 😉 I can’t wait til The Dead Zone personally, as Johnny gets kidnapped! A chance encounter with Johnny caused Boyd to play winning lotto numbers. Unfortunately things don’t go well and he holds Johnny responsible. Everyone say it with me now, “Ooooooh!”

Monday is packed full of new eps! As always, you have 2 of my favorite summer reality shows! Hell’s Kitchen, where a few of the remaining 5 chefs get to travel to Las Vegas with Ramsay and the others are jealous and Treasure Hunters, where teams travel to Europe to uncover the secret of the man behind the mask. Again, “Ooooooh!”

You can also catch new episodes of The Closer (involving severed body parts), Saved, Kyle XY (the Trager’s house is bugged! Creepy truck guy? Probably.), Falcon Beach & Tabloid Wars on Bravo. If country music is your thing (as it is mine!), you can also watch the CMA Music Festival: Country Music’s Biggest Party, featuring Brooks & Dunn, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley (hot!), Sugarland & Lynyrd Skynyrd (they are country??), on ABC.

Then we come to “Reality Tuesday.” Why do I call it that? I have no idea. lol Check out all new eps of Last Comic Standing, The One: Making a Music Star, Big Brother, Rock Star: Supernova & Queer Eye. For non-reality, you can watch a new ep of Rescue Me called Karate, where Lou uses some new age techniques to turn over a new leaf. Or watch the 2nd ep of Eureka on SciFi, right after, of course, the episode of Dead Like Me called Curious George!

On Wednesday, America’s Got Talent is 2 hours long, so don’t forget to set your TiVo from 8-10pm EST! Watch the Top 8 perform on So You Think You Can Dance and catch the eliminations on The One: Making a Music Star & Rock Star: Supernova results shows. To get your fill of creepy, watch Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King on TNT from 9-11pm EST.

If you are a fan of the show 30 Days on FX, the season premiere is Wednesday, from 10-11pm EST. It’s titled Immigration: A man with strong anti-immigration views lives with a family of illegal immigrants. Hah. Love fireworks!

Also, as Shannon pointed out last week, another great reality show is Project Runway on Bravo. It isn’t my thing really, but I do know lots of people love it! Catch it tonight as well!

Thursday, get ready for more reality show contest results on America’s Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance and Big Brother: All Stars all eliminate contestants. There’s also new eps of Windfall, Master of Champions, Who Wants to Be a Superhero, where the superheroes take a morality test to see which of them is truly pure of heart, and one of the best damn shows on TV, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. In this week’s ep, a leaky pipe at Paddy’s creates a water stain in the shape of the Virgin Mary. I’ve said it before and will continue to say it, NOTHING is sacred on this show. LOL

Friday is my favorite night of the week. All new episodes of Monk, Psych, Stargate SG-1 & Stargate Atlantis. Fire up the DVR, get some popcorn and watch 4 hours of tv in a row. Hope your couch is comfortable! As for me, my 8 year old son will be gone with his grandparents, so I’ll be lounging around, getting an early start on a great weekend. Hope you have a great one too!

As always, please, let me know what you think! I’d love to get your feedback! 🙂 – Jenny
