In anticipation of the 2006 Emmy awards, theTVaddict crew will be predicting our Emmy Winners. Check beck regularly, as new categories will be posted throughout the coming weeks. Agree with our picks? disagree completely? think we take TV a little too seriously! Post your comments below.
Nominees (L to R): William Shatner (Boston Legal), Oliver Platt (Huff), Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos), Gregory Itzin (24), Alan Alda (The West Wing)
theTVaddict Predicts:
Who I Think Will Win: William Shatner I’m not sure if it’s because all Emmy Voters are secretly closet Star Trek fans, but they definitely are in love with giving out hardware to William Shatner
Who I HOPE Will Win: Gregory Itzin Itzin’s portrayal of the world’s worst (fictional) President was brilliant. I wonder where he found his inspiration?
Who Was Snubbed: Enrico Colantoni Enrico Colantoni is the only responsible portayal of a single father on TV. His relationshp with Veronica is more then Emmy worthy.
Amrie Predicts:
Who I Think Will Win: Alan Alda William Shatner I’m not the biggest fan of his, but the Emmy voters seem to be!
Who I HOPE Will Win: Gregory Itzin Gregory Itzin hands down. He played a completely moronic President, who suddenly became the biggest enemy that my Kiefer and the gang had to defeat. Wonderful!
Who Was Snubbed: TR Knight TR Knight from Grey’s. (I love me some George O’Malley), and Naveen Andrews from Lost (Sayid was robbed…)
Jenny Predicts:
Who I Think Will Win: Alan Alda Alan Alda (Being that it was it’s last season, the Emmys are notorious for putting series enders at the top. TWW is definitely an Emmy favorite.)
Who I HOPE Will Win: Gregory Itzin I honestly don’t care. Gregory Itzin for the 24 fans that I know are ecstatic, I guess!
Who Was Snubbed: Enrico Colantoni Enrico Colantoni (As Veronica’s dad, he’s always great. Supportive, caring, everything a dad should be. Enrico plays him fantastically well, too!)
