This Week on TV

15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! 15 Days! Can you tell I’m excited? 😉

FOOTBALL! I can’t believe the season is beginning! That’s how we start off This Week on TV. Sunday, NBC is airing the NFL Preseason Football Oakland Raiders vs Philadelphia Eagles game. Along with new episodes of The 4400, where Tom and Diana uncover a shocking conspiracy, and The Dead Zone, the new show Three Moons Over Milford starts tonight on ABC Family. Here’s what ABCFamily.com says about Three Moons: “Ever since a meteor blew apart the moon, the people of Milford have been acting a little… different. Then again, what would you do if this could be your last day on Earth?” It should be a great light-hearted show. Big Brother: All-Stars is also new on CBS, with 2 house guests nominated for eviction and a new Head of Household is revealed! Celebrity Fit Club & Flavor of Love start their new seasons on VH1, along with new episodes of Deadwood, Entourage & Lucky Louie (HBO), Mind of Mencia & Reno 911 (Comedy Central), The Simple Life (E!) and Dane Cook’s Tourgasm 1st season finale on HBO as well.

Monday, the field is narrowed down again on new episodes of Treasure Hunters (haha I read someone say it was the geek’s version of The Amazing Race. I love that description!) and Hell’s Kitchen, where Ramsay puts the remaining 3 chefs to work at the front of the kitchen to test their leadership skills. You can also see a new episode of One Ocean View on ABC (although I’ve heard it’s pitifully awful and won’t last long, so don’t get attached!). The Closer and Saved are new as well, along with Kyle XY, where Nicole becomes closer to connecting Kyle to a murder, and Falcon Beach, where Jason injures his knee and Adrian’s wife shows up unexpectedly. Tabloid Wars on Bravo is also new, titled Babysitter, where the reporters investigate a gruesome story in NYC. If you don’t have USA or haven’t seen the new show Psych, check out the repeat of Spelling Bee on NBC tonight as well! If you are a fan of Reba McEntire, her self-titled comedy Reba starts its cable run series premiere on Lifetime. If you are a fan of KISS, catch the 1 hour series premiere of Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels on A&E. (Blech! lol) Whew! Busy Monday!!

Tuesday begins with new eps of reality shows Big Brother: All-Stars and Rock Star: Supernova, Workout (on Bravo), Queer Eye & Last Comic Standing. Along with the 2 regular comics, 2 comics from the online competition come on and perform! Theo Von (from umm, Road Rules maybe? Some reality show like that!) and my favorite, Josh Wolf won the 2 coveted spots online. Rescue Me is new tonight and titled Retards. lol Tommy visits Janet to discuss her pregnancy and Teddy gets conjugal visits. One of the summer’s best new shows, Eureka, is new tonight as well. Carter investigates Spencer’s alleged abduction and Eureka’s funding may be in jeopardy. Plus, don’t forget to catch the next ep of Dead Like Me on SciFi, too!

Wednesday is another night of reality. The finale of Last Comic Standing is on with Jay Mohr & previous LCS winners. (Jay Mohr deserves to be there, as does last season’s winner, since NBC dropped them the week of the finale! lol) You can also check out the Wildcard show of America’s Got Talent where acts eliminated in the semifinals compete for the 9th & 10th spots in the finale. Both are 90 minutes tonight, so set your schedule accordingly. Part of 1 of 2 of the So You Think You Can Dance finale is tonight, along with a new episode of Rock Star: Supernova, 30 Days & Project Runway.

Thursday features another game of the NFL Preseason Football with the Indianapolis Colts vs St. Louis Rams. Then find out who captures the last 2 spots on America’s Got Talent and watch a new ep of Windfall, where an accident reveals Nina and Cameron’s secret. Oops! Catch an eviction on Big Brother: All-Stars, a new ep of Who Wants to Be a Superhero and one of the best comedies of the summer, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Even their titles are great! This week is Charlie Goes America All Over Everybody’s Ass, where a debate on people’s rights leads Mac and Dennis to run Paddy’s with no rules or restrictions.

End the week on Friday on a high note with ANOTHER NFL Preseason Football game between the New England Patriots & Atlanta Falcons. Plus Monk, Psych, Stargate SG-1, where SG-1 tries to control a rash of brutal attacks by a savage alien creature, & Stargate Atlantis, where a reference in the Atlantis database leads the team to a thriving civilization. (Boy, both those descriptions could go with A LOT of the SG-1 & Atlantis episodes, couldn’t they? LOL)

Next week, I’m going to write up my thoughts on the coming tv season and talk about my full schedule & full DVRs, but for now, get a preview of my neat schedule here:

Have a great week and enjoy the last bit of summer before kids go back to school!
