This Week on TV

It’s here, it’s here! Thank goodness the season has started! I’m so psyched, it’s unbelievable. I’m getting involved with different places dealing with tv (writing spoilers up for SpoilerFix.com, judging & playing at FantasyTeeVee.com) and they are just making me even more excited! Plus, one of my favorite shows, Bones started last week and it was a great start for that show for me. So what’s on this week? House and a couple of new comedies as well! So let’s get to it!

Sunday starts the week off with new episodes of Big Brother: All-Stars, where 2 house guests receive nominations for eviction, and Three Moons Over Milford, in which a mild-mannered bank employee’s robbery scheme goes awry and Alex decides to hitchhike across the country.

Monday includes new episodes of Prison Break, where we find the convicts determined to reunite with loved ones and still on the run from Mahone and a ticked-off Bellick and Vanished, along with the season finale of The Closer and Saved. (Although The Closer I know will be back in December to finish out its season. Yay!)

If you were a fan of Diff’rent Strokes years ago, NBC is airing Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Diff’rent Strokes tonight. I personally will be recording ABC Family’s original movie Relative Chaos, in which a man, encouraged by his girlfriend, joins his two siblings for their father’s week long event of competitive games. Why? Check out the list of stars! Christopher Gorham (Jake 2.0, Popular, Odyssey 5, etc), Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Kitchen Confidential), Charisma Carpenter (Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Veronica Mars), Terry Bradshaw & more! What a cast! Sure, it may be cheesy, but c’mon! 😀

Tuesday is the premiere night for one of my other absolute favorite shows, House! House returns to work after healing from gunshot wounds and is immediately thrown back in to some strange cases. Another show premiering tonight is Standoff, with Ron Livingston & Gina Torres (Alias, Firefly & Serenity anyone?), in which the secret relationship between two top-ranked FBI crisis-negotiators comes to light during a tense hostage standoff. I have not heard very good things about this show but I love the previews I have seen. I’m just not going to get too attached at the beginning, unfortunately. The other big premiere tonight is Nip/Tuck on FX! The fourth season starts off with Christian & Sean celebrating a milestone surgery, Julia revealing devastating news to Sean about the baby and Christian redecorating the apartment after an appointment with a psychiatrist. If you are at all interested (I wouldn’t be…), the new channel MyNetworkTV has their premieres tonight as well.

Also new are Big Brother: All-Stars, Rock Star: Supernova, Queer Eye (with Adam & Steve… Oh so many jokes could be made!) and Eureka, where problems arise when a young computer programmer named Callister Raynes returns to town. And don’t forget about the episodes of Dead Like Me on SciFi before Eureka!

Wednesday features a new episode of Bones that is “ripped from the headlines”! Can you say, “ripped off”? lol Also new are Justice, in which a young woman claims self-defense after a music producer’s death, and Rock Star: Supernova, Project Runway and a special on CBS called Five Years Later: How Safe Are We?, featuring Katie Couric, international correspondents & President George W. Bush.

Thursday is the kickoff of NFL Football on NBC and the premieres of ‘Til Death and Happy Hour on FOX. I have seen the commercials for ‘Til Death, which stars Brad Garrett, Joely Fisher & Eddie Kaye Thomas (from the American Pie movies), and I am going to love the show. Unfortunately, most critics hate it so I probably shouldn’t get too attached to it either. (Although I love The War At Home and critics hate it, yet it does ok in the ratings, so…) I’ve also heard you should be drunk to really enjoy Happy Hour, so I am not going into that one with high hopes either. lol Catch a new episode of Celebrity Duets & Big Brother: All-Stars as well.

Friday is the premiere of Nanny 911 and the first results show of Celebrity Duets, as well as new episodes of Stargate SG-1, in which Vala gets amnesia when Trust agents working for the Goa’uld Athena capture her, and Stargate Atlantis, in which McKay’s estranged sister is enlisted by the Air Force to implement an experiment in Atlantis. (That should be interesting! lol)

There is a new special on CBS called Fashion Rocks, which is a star-studded concert that honors the extraordinary relationship between fashion and music. The concert will include performances by Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Bon Jovi, The Black Eyed Peas, Daddy Yankee, Jamie Foxx, Nelly Furtado, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, The Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Scissor Sisters, Kanye West & more. It’s 2 hours, so if you are big into music, don’t miss it!

Check back next week for more great premieres, including FOX’s Sunday night comedies, The Wire, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, Men In Trees & more, along with the finales of Just Legal, Big Brother, Fear Factor, Rock Star: Supernova & more.
