This Week on TV

Hidey Ho TV fans! (If you are a real tv fan, you’ll recognize the reference I just made to a show I watched years ago. 😉 ) For those that didn’t get it… I was Wilson on Home Improvement! I loved that show! 🙂 Let’s see what’s on This Week on TV shall we?

Sunday is a great night for sports fans. They get new games of NFL Football: Pittsburgh Steelers at San Diego Chargers and MLB Baseball: Detroit Tigers at New York Yankees. If you are like me and don’t watch much sports on tv, there is still plenty on tonight! You can check out the last new episodes on Sundays, (since it starts new episodes next week on Monday!) of Everybody Hates Chris, All of Us, Girlfriends and The Game on the CW Network or new episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives & Brothers & Sisters on ABC, and The Amazing Race, Cold Case & Without a Trace on CBS. On The Amazing Race, teams race through Vietnam and someone gets injured, forcing their team of two to stop for medical attention. If you are a country music fan, be sure and watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, as Alan Jackson is performing!

Monday has another game of baseball, this time MLB Baseball: Los Angeles Dodgers at New York Mets. (No new episodes of Prison Break or Vanished because of that darnit!) There’s also a new episode of Heroes (what totally creepy things will happen this week? Did anyone guess that Hiro Nakamura was in the future last week? When I saw that happen, all I could think about was Johnny and the apocalyptic storyline on The Dead Zone! lol There’s also a new ep of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, in which members of the team try to manipulate the West Coast feed to avoid airing a sketch containing material that was inadvertently copied from another comic. My husband & I watched last week’s episode and marveled again how much it surprised us just how much we were loving this show! Everyone should check it out, cause the ratings aren’t great and it needs to stick around! Also new are The Bachelor: Rome, The Class, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, The New Adventures of Old Christine & CSI: Miami. Don’t forget that The Class & How I Met Your Mother switch time zones this week, with How I Met Your Mother airing first! Tonight is the 2nd season premiere of What About Brian, and Brian returns home six months after leaving town! 7th Heaven and Runaway aren’t on tonight, as they will be new next Sunday on their new night!

Tuesday is one of my favorite nights for tv, with new episodes of Veronica Mars, Law & Order: SVU, NCIS & The Unit, all of which are on my MUST WATCH LIST. Also new are Friday Night Lights, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Gilmore Girls, Dancing with the Stars, Help Me Help You, Boston Legal and the first game of the Major League Baseball American League Championship Series. Watch Gilmore Girls on the CW Network, where Lorelai realizes that most of her life has been based on doing the opposite of what her parents want (welcome to my life!). Then stick around for Veronica Mars, in which the campus newspaper hires Veronica to do an undercover expose on the Zeta Theta sorority during rush week to investigate Parker’s rape. Yes, you heard me. Veronica is going to join a sorority. HAHAHA I’ve heard the 2nd episode is better than the 1st, so I can’t wait! I love this show! And as much as I absolutely LOVE Logan, how adorable is Piz?? Oh, and I keep forgetting to mention Nip/Tuck! Since I don’t watch it, it isn’t on my tv grid, so I don’t remember it’s new. lol

Wednesday is the premiere of the highly anticipated 30 Rock and one of my highly anticipated premieres 20 Good Years on NBC. Also new are Dancing with the Stars, The Nine & Lost, in which Sun’s and Jin’s lives are in danger, Kate and Sawyer must work in harsh conditions and Henry makes Jack a tempting offer that will be difficult to refuse (what is this, The Godfather? LOL) on ABC. America’s Next Top Model & One Tree Hill (watch Haley realize what a skank Rachel is!), Jericho, Criminal Minds & CSI: NY are also new. There’s another new baseball game on FOX if you are into that kind of thing, as well.

Thursday is the 2nd game of the baseball National League Championship Series on FOX, new episodes of My Name Is Earl, The Office, ER, Smallville, Supernatural, Ugly Betty (Betty lures a famous photographer (Rhys Coiro) to shoot for the magazine), Grey’s Anatomy (an intern suffers a medical emergency!), Six Degrees, Survivor, CSI (last week’s ep was kind of a neat break, seeing several short mysteries like that!) & Shark.

Friday ends the week strong again with a new episode of Battlestar Galactica, Ghost Whisperer, Close to Home & Numb3rs. Also new is the adorably cute Men in Trees and Law & Order. Catch the premiere of the new reality game show 1 vs. 100 and game 3 of the American League Championship Series for baseball.

Have a great week everyone! If I miss any shows that you’d like me to make sure and mention next week, let me know!
