Jenny’s This Week on TV

Wow, talk about major shakeups in tv land this month, what with the cancellations of Runaway & Smith and the full-season pickups for Close to Home, Brothers & Sisters, Heroes, Jericho, Shark & Ugly Betty! Medium is returning mid-November, Vanished finishing up its 13 episode run on Fridays then out and Kidnapped on Saturdays starting this past Saturday and my favorite show, Veronica Mars, keeps growing in numbers. Yay! So what’s on this week? I’m going to try something slightly different this week so let’s check it out!

On Sunday, I’ll be watching The Amazing Race at 8/7c. One team gets lost while searching for a clue in Kuwait, allowing three other teams to pass them before they get back on track; a new twist to the game gives a penalty to every team that does not finish first on this leg. I knew the coal miners had the 30 minute penalty, but what causes a penalty for all the other teams?? At 9/8c, you can check out Desperate Housewives! Gaby & Carlos’ divorce reaches new levels of bitterness; Lynette co-owns a new business venture; Susan struggles with her love for two men. I keep hearing people talk about this season being better than last, so I’ve been reading and trying to catch up on last season so I can start watching this season again! At 10/9c, I’ll be watching Without a Trace on CBS. When an Albanian mobster’s mistress and their 8-year-old son go missing, Jack uses the situation to unearth evidence against him. This show never fails to keep me glued to the story, so hopefully this week will be no exception.

Also on tonight:

Monday is the return of Prison Break & Justice on FOX! Yay! I’ll definitely be watching Prison Break at 8/7c. Sucre turns on the rest of the escapees and escapes with the $5 million; Internal Affairs investigates Mahone about Tweener’s death; Lincoln determines to reunite with LJ but may be walking into a trap. Does anyone else wonder if Sucre & Michael are in cahoots? heh At 9/8c, I’ll still be glued to FOX while I watch Justice. The firm takes on a case of a teenage outcast charged with killing the school bully in a most unusual fashion. Wonder if their client is really guilty this time or not! heh At 10/9c, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is in trouble! If you are a fan, you REALLY need to watch! Ratings have been pretty bad and next week, NBC is putting Friday Night Lights in its place to try out the time slot. That doesn’t bode well for our friends Jordan, Matt & Danny! (& now that they have decided to include Amanda Pete’s real life pregnancy into the storyline, I really wanna see where they are gonna take that story!) This week, Jordan befriends the cast during an after-show party; Danny tries to get Matt’s mind off Harriet; Simon wants to hire more black writers.

Also on tonight:

Tuesday is CW night! At 8/7c, watch the new episode of Gilmore Girls. Emily and Richard are happy when Lorelai and Christopher attend Friday night dinner together; Sherry asks Christopher to send their daughter GiGi to visit her in Paris; Stars Hollow is plagued by an odor. Then stick around for Veronica Mars at 9/8c! Logan enlists Veronica’s help in sorting through his financial records when he is informed that his inheritance is running low; Harmony (Laura San Giacomo!) hires Keith to investigate her cheating husband. Did anyone else watch Just Shoot Me?? Having Elliot and Maya back together is going to be fantastic! At 10/9c, I’ll be watching Boston Legal to finally hear the verdict of the ongoing case! Jeffrey Coho’s defense team must do all it can to undo the damage caused by an accused murderer’s father, who makes an allegation about his son’s attraction to his mother. Katey Sagal is guest starring. Nice!

Also on tonight:

Wednesday at 8/7c, I’ll be watching Jericho on CBS. Townspeople learn they are truly on their own; the town plunges into darkness when an electromagnetic pulse destroys everything with a circuit board. Be sure and check out SpoilerFix.com for spoilers on Jericho if you are interested! I write em up every week. 😉 At 9/8c, I’ll stick around for Criminal Minds. I love this show! Team members interrogate community members in a small town after two children are murdered in two weeks. Then at 10/9c, switch over to The Nine on ABC. Lizzie leads the crusade to face Randall in court; Egan invites Jeremy to his friend’s bachelor party; Nick advises Franny to talk to Kathryn after receiving harassing phone calls from Ricky’s dad.

Also on tonight:

Thursday at 8/7c, watch the new episode of Smallville on CW. Flashbacks reveal that Oliver and his friends bullied Lex and his friend Duncan as teenagers in prep school; Lex and Oliver return to the school for a reunion. Then stick around at 9/8c for Supernatural! Sam and Dean meet Andy, a slacker with psychic powers of persuasion; when Andy’s friends start dying, the brothers question if Andy is using his powers to kill. At 10/9c, catch a rerun of the pilot episode of Shark. See why this show is turning into one of my favorites!

Also on tonight:

Friday is CBS night for me! It starts out at 8/7c with Ghost Whisperer. While Melinda is away, a beautiful female ghost haunts Jim’s dreams; professor Payne (how freakin funny is Jay Mohr!) helps Jim identify the woman as Eva. Then stick around for Close to Home at 9/8c. Two star college football players are charged with a teammate’s murder; while investigating, Annabeth realizes more secrets threaten to be exposed. Then at 10/9c, watch Numb3rs. Don and his team investigate a murder at a horse track; as Charlie digs deeper into the victim’s life he discovers an elaborate gambling scheme and a connection to a third party, sending the case in a new direction. Also important tonight are new episodes of Vanished on FOX at 8/7c and Battlestar Galactica on SciFi at 9/8c! Don’t miss em!

Also on tonight:

Don’t forget to watch Kidnapped on Saturday. Knapp and Special Agent King investigate the remains of a burned-down textiles building, where the room was carefully rigged to detonate on command.

What do you think of the new format? Easier to read? Leave your comments please!
