Jenny’s This Week on TV

Busy weekend ahead! Sick husband, lots to do before Thanksgiving, when we head down to Oklahoma to visit my family. What are your plans? Not a lot of time so will get right to it!

SUNDAY
On Sunday, why not spend the night watching some comedy on FOX? At 8/7c, watch The Simpsons. Lisa helps Moe become a published poet, but when a literary conference features him, he takes all the credit for his success.

Then at 8:30/7:30c, stay for American Dad when Steve’s new relationship with his girlfriend gives Francine empty nest syndrome & Roger tries to enroll in college with Haley.

At 9/8c, stay for Family Guy. Lois volunteers to teach a sex-ed class at the high school when she learns that Chris has some incorrect information on the subject.

Then finally at 9:30/8:30c, the only one of the 4 I watch is The War at Home. A “Girls Gone Wild” video upsets Dave; Larry tries to replace swear words with the word “love.” This show is so wrong that it’s too funny not to laugh.

I can’t forget to mention the season premiere of Reba on the CW network! There are 2 new episodes tonight. FINALLY! 🙂 In the first, called Let’s Get Physical, Barbra Jean shows off her new sleek figure and staunch dedication to the gym, which Brock fears is about spending time with her male trainer. In the second, called Just Business, Houston’s premier real estate agent (Tim Meadows) contacts Reba and Van for a meeting, exciting Reba but concerning Van that he will be her assistant. These start at 7/6c, not the normal primetime hour, so be aware! (Unless you are here in Kansas, and then you have to catch it at 10/9c after college basketball.)

At 10/9c, flip over to ABC for Brothers & Sisters. Sarah, Tommy and Kevin find William’s most shocking secret when they set out in search of his lost treasure; Justin makes a startling revelation about his enlistment when he returns from the hospital.

Also on tonight:

MONDAY
Make Monday another night of comedy. Choose the CW network and at 8/7c, watch Everybody Hates Chris. Julius’ successful brother, Louis (Wayne Brady), visits the family for a memorable Thanksgiving dinner.

At 8:30/7:30c, stick around for All of Us. Robert remains stunned that his real father (Richard Lawson) is gay; the family sits down for a Thanksgiving meal to remember.

Then at 9/8c, watch Girlfriends, in which Joan and Maya discover that Lynn is singing for money on the street and at a karaoke bar & Monica is jealous of William and Joan’s relationship.

Finally at 9:30/8:30c, catch The Game. Derwin objects to his image consultant’s idea to pair him with his former college teammate, Trey Wiggs; Derwin learns that Melanie had lunch with Trey.

Then at 10/9c, switch over to NBC for Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

  • TUESDAY
On Tuesday, turn on FOX at 8/7c for Standoff. Matt and Emily save a young woman from a hostage situation, then Matt takes it upon himself to save her again when she becomes the prey of a stalker. I Ron Livingston. He gets sexier every episode. Definitely has to do with his attitude as well!

Then stick around for House at 9/8c. House challenges his co-workers to correctly diagnose the ailment of an 18-year-old heart-attack patient (Patrick Fugit). Patrick Fugit guest starred on several shows and was in quite a few movies, so you may recognize him, although I don’t. Wonder what will happen with Tritter this ep!

Finally, at 10/9c, turn to NBC for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. A car accident involving two foster children leads detectives Beck and Stabler to the foster parents and questionable medical practices involving a controversial “rebirthing” therapy. As of this writing, I haven’t watched the premiere of 3 Lbs yet. Did anyone like it last week? I haven’t heard much buzz about it yet!

    Also on tonight:

    WEDNESDAY
Start off Wednesday by watching America’s Next Top Model on the CW network. The models hit the foreign streets with their portfolios to meet local designers; one model has a breakdown when she gets lost in the city; the women face off against an angry bull at the photo shoot.

Then at 9/8c, stick around for One Tree Hill. Derek convinces Peyton to take a chance with Lucas; Daunte’s (Rick Fox) latest demand leads Nathan to seek help from an unlikely source, Dan; Rachel turns to Haley for tutoring. Oh, that should be comfortable. “Hey listen, I tried to get your husband to cheat on you with me. Tutor me?” lol

Finally at 10/9c, turn to NBC for Medium. Allison relives the same horrific day over and over in her dreams, leading her to reveal important clues regarding a potential hostage situation; Joe struggles for affection from Allison; a bully threatens Ariel at school. I loved the premeire last week! This is one of my favorite shows!

    Also on tonight:

    THURSDAY
Thursday at 8/7c, start off the night with Survivor on CBS. I won’t copy here what my tv guide online says cause it’s a huge spoiler imo! Just suffice it to say that this could change the whole dynamic of one tribe this ep!

Then stick around at 9/8c for CSI. The team searches for a link between a current string of murders in Las Vegas and a notorious mob boss who disappeared in the 1970s.

At 10/9c, turn to NBC for ER. Abby responds to a bus crash; Neela accepts an invitation from Gates; Pratt confides in Dr. Weaver about his brother. Sounds like you Reelay (Ray/Neela) lovers won’t be happy yet! 🙁

    Also on tonight:

    FRIDAY
Friday starts out at 8/7c with a new episode of Ghost Whisperer on CBS. Melinda encounters the angry spirit of a professional ballplayer who tries to take over the body of a young pitcher during a high-school game.

Then stick around for Close to Home at 9/8c. Annabeth seeks the death penalty for the man who accidentally wounded DA Doug Hellman and killed his associate when he tried to shoot his son-in-law.

Then at 10/9c, stay for Numb3rs. While investigating a state senator’s murder, Don’s team uncovers a plot to exact revenge on people involved in a government-sponsored behavior-modification project; Larry announces he is taking a leave of absence from the university. Check out the spoilers on SpoilerFix.com for the possibility of WHY Larry is taking a leave of absence!

Also tonight, at 11/10c, if you are a music fan, catch the Series Premiere of Off the Record on HBO. Inside every story, there is a song. In this new series, accomplished musician and producer Dave Stewart takes viewers inside the minds of some of music’s legendary performers and songwriters, offering fresh insights into some of today’s greatest rock careers. Through intimate and uncensored conversations, artists share the stories behind the songs, and the influences that shaped their lives both on and off the stage.

    Also on tonight:

That’s it! Lots of movies on this week, so take advantage of the new TV while it’s on! 🙂 Have a great Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates and for those that don’t, be thankful for something anyway! 😉
