Jenny’s This Week on TV

What a crazy week of weather! Been so nice the last few days, had some rain last night and now it’s getting really cold again. Time to curl up under the blanket and watch tv! So let’s see what’s on this week, shall we? 🙂

SUNDAY

Sunday, check out Grease: You’re the One That I Want on NBC at 8/7c. One Danny and one Sandy must leave and Frankie Avalon performs with the four remaining Sandys. Hah, Frankie Avalon! How many of you remember him?

Then turn to the SciFi channel at 9/8c for The Dresden Files. A beautiful vampire hires Dresden to find out who is trying to kill her.

Then stick around for Battlestar Galactica at 10/9c. Chief Tyrol’s labor leader persuades him to defy Adama and become the rallying point for a strike.

If you are into the awards show, don’t miss the biggest tonight starting at 8/7c on ABC with the Road to the Oscars 2007 then at 8:30/7:30c for The 79th Annual Academy Awards. Ellen DeGeneres is hosting this year and she is usually pretty darn funny. 😀

Also on tonight:

MONDAY

Monday, start off your night with How I Met Your Mother on CBS at 8/7c. The gang recalls great memories in Marshall’s car when it gives out just short of 200,000 miles. The previews looked hysterical for this episode. Yay.

Then at 9:30/8:30c, check out the new comedy Rules of Engagement. Audrey thinks that Jeff is more interested in the outcome of a New York Knicks game than in her. This show is really very funny. It is getting better every week. The worst part of the show is David Spade. He’s gotten yucky looking as he’s gotten old. Blech.

Don’t miss the premiere of The Black Donnellys on NBC at 10/9c. The series is a gritty new crime drama that follows the exploits of four young, working-class Irish brothers and their involvement in organized crime in New York City. Despite their rough surroundings, the Donnelly brothers basically remain “good kids” — who will do anything to protect each other against all odds. A few names you might recognize: Billy Lush (Huff), Olivia Wilde (The O.C. & Skin) and Kirk Acevedo (Oz).

Also on tonight:

TUESDAY

Tuesday, make it an NBC night, starting with Law & Order: Criminal Intent at 9/8c. A journalist believes his poisoning is due to a story.

Then stay for my favorite by far of the 3, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit at 10/9c. Benson investigates a rape outside her jurisdiction. It should be a very Benson-centric episode, so I’m excited. 😀

Catch the 1st of 6 episodes of a reality/quiz show from Mark Burnett with host Jeff Foxworthy called Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?. Adults find themselves in a classroom setting, revisiting their youth, as they tackle subjects they’ve already been taught, with the possibility of help from real grade-schoolers. My son Josh is a 3rd grader and really looking forward to seeing how I do on the questions. LOL

Also on tonight:

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday, catch the 2-hour season premiere of America’s Next Top Model at 8/7c on the CW. The 32 aspiring models immediately go to boot camp.

Also on tonight:

THURSDAY

Thursday, one of the only two new comedies on NBC is Scrubs at 9/8c. The staff remembers past events while helping a patient regain his memory.

The other is 30 Rock at 9:32/8:32c. Jack gets a hip-hop producer to endorse his family’s line of wines.

Almost everything else is a rerun, except for Survivor on CBS at 8/7c. One castaway has a temper tantrum and throws things around the camp. I’m going to go with Boo. He seems immature. LOL But honestly, not a clue!

Also on tonight:

FRIDAY

Friday, catch the season finale of Monk on USA at 9/8c. Monk finds himself in danger when he investigates the death of a doctor. He gets a nosebleed, according to the previews, and he absolutely freaks out. lol

Then stick around for the season finale of one of the funniest shows on tv right now, Psych at 10/9c. Shawn and Gus step into a real-life urban legend, as they investigate a death suspiciously like the tale of “Scary Sherry,” who met her untimely end at the now haunted Wispy Sunny Pines mental institution.

Also on tonight:

Have a great week and enjoy all the new tv!
