Jenny’s This Week on TV

Welcome to a new week for This Week on TV! Last week was quite a week, wasn’t it? CBS really gave me the highs, the renewal of How I Met Your Mother, and lows, the sudden and shocking cancellation of Jericho. Everything else was about as expected. What was the greatest surprise for you? Take the poll and let us know! Not a great deal on this week, but let’s get to it!

SUNDAY

Sunday is the season finale of quite a few shows. On ABC, catch the season finales of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters, all starting at 7/6c with a 2-hour Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

If you have been a fan of Blood Ties on Lifetime, catch the season finale at 10/9c! Vicki fears for her life after a visit from a psychic.

Also on tonight:

MONDAY

Monday is the 2-hour season finale of 24 on FOX at 8/7c. It’s also the 2-hour season finale of The Bachelor on ABC at 9:01/8:01c. Will Andy choose Timid Tessa or Bimbo Bevin?

On the 1st season finale of Heroes on NBC from 9/8c to 10:05/9:05c, with Isaac’s horrible predictions all unfolding before them, the everyday people with extraordinary abilities face moments of pain and peril in Kirby Plaza with unflinching heroism.

Also on tonight:

TUESDAY

Tuesday is the 2-hour series finale of Veronica Mars on the CW starting at 8/7c. It’s a very very sad day for Veronica Mars fans.

Also, check out the series premiere of On the Lot on FOX at 9/8c. The semifinalists have their first attempt at a Hollywood-style pitch meeting; each filmmaker must shoot and edit a short film in 24 hours; the contestants must each film a one-page scene in an hour.

If you have been watching The Bachelor, check out the special tonight on ABC at 8/7c. Andy and the woman he is now engaged to talk with Chris and face some of the women he didn’t choose.

Tonight is the new TV movie, Jesse Stone: Sea Change, based on the best-selling book by Robert B. Parker. He is one of my favorite authors and Magnum P.I. (otherwise known as Tom Selleck) makes a terrific Jesse Stone! You can also catch him next Fall in the show Las Vegas as the new casino owner!

Also on tonight:

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday is the 2-hour season finales of American Idol on FOX at 8/7c and Lost on ABC at 9/8c. On Lost, Jack and the castaways begin efforts to make contact with Naomi’s rescue ship.

Also on tonight:

THURSDAY

Thursday is the 85-minute season premiere of So You Think You Can Dance on FOX at 8/7c! Last year’s winner, Benji, was so freakin adorable, and he, along with Travis, Allison & several others, made last season incredibly enjoying to watch. Here’s hoping this season will be as memorable!

Also catch the season finale of Penn & Teller: Bullshit on Showtime at 10/9c. This week they tackle anger management. I wonder if Adam Sandler & Jack Nicholson will be mentioned? haha (In case you don’t know, they starred in the movie Anger Management in 2003. 😉 ) Seriously, check out P&T. They rock!

Don’t forget that tonight, NBC is airing a new episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip at 10/9c. Catch it before it’s gone!

Also on tonight:

FRIDAY

Friday is the series finale of Six Degrees on ABC.COM.

Also tonight is the season finale of Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO at 11/10c and a Comedy Central Special with Bonnie McFarlane at 10/9c on, of course, Comedy Central. If you don’t know who she is, Bonnie was on the 2nd season of Last Comic Standing. She’s VERY funny. 🙂

Also on tonight:

LOTS of repeats on this week. Pick out the few bright spots & enjoy! Have a great week everyone. 🙂
