Jenny’s This Week on TV

Welcome to a new week for This Week on TV! WE DID IT! Thank you to all the fans, new and old, of Jericho that helped by donating peanuts, sending letters, making calls & more to help save one of my favorite shows ever! If you HAVEN’T watched this show yet, take an hour, for me, and watch on CBS.com. I know that you can’t watch it on there if you aren’t from the US, but check it out on iTunes. You won’t regret it! Let’s see what’s up for this 2nd full week of June, shall we?

SUNDAY

Sunday is the 2nd season premiere of The Loop on FOX at 8:30/7:30c. Bret Harrison has already been cast in the new show Reaper on the CW for next Fall, so we know The Loop won’t last long, but the show is pretty funny, so catch it while you can! The 2nd episode also airs tonight at 9:30/8:30c.

Also tonight, if you are fortunate enough to have HBO, you can watch the series premiere of John From Cincinnati at 10:05/9:05c. You can read all about it on HBO’s site and I’ve heard that it’s pretty good! Luke Perry, Ed O’Neill, Rebecca DeMornay star and it was created by David Milch (who also created & executive produced Deadwood).

Finally, tonight is sadly the series finale of The Sopranos on HBO at 9/8c. If you are a fan of the family, don’t miss it!

Stops include cast mate Kerry’s country music scene in Nashville, Zara’s one-stoplight town in upstate New York and an eventful reunion in Boston with former housemate Rispi, who left the house after a drunken altercation in the first week of season one.

Following that is the series premiere of Fight Girls at 10:30/9:30c. Take ten beautiful girls, five grueling fights, one master Muay Thai trainer and unlimited perseverance and what do you get? — Oxygen’s newest reality series Fight Girls. I’m so freakin mad. I got ready to watch The Gil Mayo Mysteries last week and realized that I DON’T get BBC America! Argh! My cable company stupidly has it in their Movie Tier. It’s not a freakin movie channel! I’m going to call them and complain this week though. Not that it’ll do any good. Did any of you watch it? Let me know how it was please! 🙂 It airs tonight at 9/8c.

This should be a good week for TV! Have a great week everyone!
