Jenny’s This Week on TV

Welcome to a new week for This Week on TV! Lots of great stuff on this week, so let’s see what’s going on!

SUNDAY

Sunday is the season finale of 2 great shows on USA. First up is the finale of The 4400 at 9/8c then following that is The Dead Zone at 10/9c.

Also tonight is The 59th Primetime Emmy Awards on FOX at 8/7c, with the Countdown to the Emmys starting an hour earlier at 7/6c. Kristin from E! will finally get to be more active, so check it out and keep an eye out for her!

Also on tonight:

MONDAY

Monday is the season premiere of Prison Break on FOX at 8/7c! Lincoln searches for Sara after promising his brother he’d find her.

Follwoing that is the series premiere of K-Ville at 9/8c. We meet Marlin Boulet and Trevor Cobb (ie. Anthony Anderson & Cole Hauser), police officers in post-Katrina New Orleans. This is produced & directed by some guys from big shows in the business, such as Bones, House & CSI, so definitely worth checking out!

Tonight is also the season finale of Saving Grace on TNT at 10/9c. Evidence at a murder scene reminds Grace of a crime that happened 11 years ago; Rhetta visits Leon in order to gather information in support of her hypothesis about Earl.

Also on tonight:

TUESDAY

Tuesday is the 2-hour season premiere of Beauty and the Geek on the CW at 8/7c. Two of last season’s contestants embark on a nationwide casting search; a hot guy and a geeky gal throw the rest of the house into turmoil; a backyard barbecue gets spicy when the beauties and geeks select their partners.

Tonight is also the season finale of Big Brother on CBS at 9/8c. The jury determines who will take home the $500,000 prize.

I couldn’t go without mentioning the new episode of Eureka on SciFi at 9/8c. Tonight, Sheriff Carter is made irresistable to women. Eureka’s air-conditioning system develops a fault, causing sexually tense situations, when the female residents suddenly become attracted to Carter due to bacteria. This is one of the funniest shows on tv right now. Funnier than most sitcoms on network tv, that’s for sure! If you haven’t checked it out, don’t wait any longer!

Also on tonight:

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday is the premiere of several shows. First up are the season premieres of: America’s Next Top Model on the CW at 8/7c and ‘Til Death on FOX at 8:30/7:30. Also tonight are series premieres of the following shows:

Back to You on FOX at 8/7c. Egotistical news anchor Chuck Darling (Kelsey Grammer, Cheers & Frasier) is reunited with his former, and still uptight, co-anchor Kelly Carr (Patricia Heaton, Everybody Loves Raymond) at Pittsburgh News Station WURG.

Kid Nation on CBS at 8/7c. By now, y ou’ve probably heard of the controversy attached to this show. 40 Kids adapt to life on their own in Bonanza City and face their first set of challenges tonight on the premiere.

Gossip Girl on the CW at 9/8c. Based on the best-selling book series by Cecily von Ziegesar and created and produced by Josh Schwartz (The OC), this series revolves around the privileged prep school teens on Manhattan’s Upper East Sisde and the anonymous blogger, Gossip Girl (voiced by Veronica Mars herself, Kristen Bell), who provides them with the latest gossip about their exclusive circle.

Kitchen Nightmares on FOX at 9/8c. Chef Gordon Ramsay goes to a different restaurant each episode, helping them to clean up their kitchen, staff & food and take them from failing to flourishing.

Don’t miss the 2-hour season finale of Burn Notice on USA starting an hour earlier at 9/8c. A heroin-smuggling former Special Forces unit takes Sam hostage. I believe Michael also confronts the man who burned him. Or at least, is working his way to that confrontation…

Also on tonight:

FRIDAY

Friday is the series finale of Painkiller Jane on SciFi at 10/9c. An emergency at NICO results in the facility’s most dangerous Neuros launching a break out. I hope this series ends well. I love it and am sad it’s ending. 🙁 No more Riley or Connor fix! 🙁 lol
