Jenny’s This Week on TV

Welcome to a new week for This Week on TV! I hope all of the Americans had a great Thanksgiving! I’m at my mom’s house writing this, on my hubby’s laptop, so it’s a bit hard to type. Hopefully it won’t take me too long to get this going. But let’s see, shall we?

Sunday

Sunday is the season premiere of The Simpsons on FOX at 8/7c. *laugh* I have no idea why last week was the finale and this week is the premiere. I don’t write the words, I just copy the schedule. 😉 Just enjoy the new episode!

Tonight also is a 2-hour new episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition on ABC starting an hour early, at 7/6c. Tonight is the 100th family that they have helped, so watch as they build quite a large house for a new family of ten. Four children were orphaned when their father died in 2001 and their mother was murdered by her ex-boyfriend and they are now being raised by their mother’s sister and her family.

Also on tonight:

Monday

Monday is the season premiere of Notes From the Underbelly at ABC 9:30/8:30c. Andrew forces himself to be more assertive; Eric and Julie hire a nanny, who refuses to disclose the secret swaddling technique that calms Perry.

Tonight is also the time-slot premiere of October Road on ABC at 10/9c. Those 2 episodes means that Dancing with the Stars is 1-hour long tonight, starting at 8/7c, followed by Samantha Who? at 9/8c.

Finally, tonight is the “season finale” of Two and a Half Men on CBS at 9/8c. It is the last ep produced before the writers strike, so it very well could turn into a season finale.

Also on tonight:

Tuesday

Tuesday is the 2-hour season finale of Dancing with the Stars on ABC at 9/8c. I think Marie should definitely have gone home before Jennie, who had come such a long way, but as long as Helio or Mel B wins, I’ll be ok. They were 2 of my 3 picks from the beginning, along with Sabrina, who went out WAY too early.

Also on tonight:

Wednesday

Wednesday is the 30-minute Christmas special Shrek the Halls on ABC at 8/7c. The ogre’s plans for a cozy family Christmas go awry when Donkey, Puss in Boots and the rest of the fairy-tale gang try to join in the fun.

Also tonight, don’t miss Pushing Daisies on ABC an hour later at a special time of 9/8c. A vindictive taffy maker (Molly Shannon) sets up shop down the street from The Pie Hole, determined to drive Ned out of business.

Also on tonight:

Thursday

Thursday is a special presentation of Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List: Straight to Hell on Bravo at 9/8c. In her first stand-up special since her acceptance speech at the 2007 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, Griffin dishes right back at her critics before a sold-old crowd in her hometown of Chicago.

It’s also the season finale of Run’s House on MTV at 10/9c. Kid Rock spends the weekend at Run’s house; Angela and Vanessa become the faces of the Girl Scouts.

Also on tonight:

Friday

Friday is the season finale of America’s Psychic Challenge on Lifetime at 10/9c. Two psychics compete in a variety of activities.

It’s also the “season finale” of Blood Ties on Lifetime at 11/10c. Vicki is contacted by a convicted murderer who claims to be innocent and is having psychic visions about future murders. (I said season finale as this is the last episode produced before the writers strike, so it could turn into the season finale…)

Also on tonight:

Have a great week everyone! Enjoy all the terrific new episodes while we have them! Not too much longer before all our favorite shows are on hiatus due to the writers strike. *cry*
