Jenny’s TV Guide: Friday August 8

Friday marks the four hour “premiere” for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, starting at 8/7c. Tonight is all about the opening ceremonies in Beijing. Starting with the Opening Ceremonies from Beijing’s National Stadium, NBC and its various platforms will offer more than 3,600 hours of events such as swimming, gymnastics and beach volleyball, including more than 2,200 hours on NBCOlympics.com, thus giving viewers the chance to watch any and every Olympic event. One would think it should, considering that averages out to about 212 hours per day. Better warm up the DVR.

I will probably not try and keep up with posting every bit of Olympic dates/times. I would go bananas. If you have something specific you’d like to know and don’t want to look it up, let me know and I can find out. Otherwise, I’ll stick to what is airing in primetime, NOT what is being shown live and elsewhere.
