On the off chance you haven’t clued into theTVaddict.com’s temporary redesign, today marks GLEE DAY! A celebration of FOX’s new musical comedy hybrid GLEE.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Um… TV Addict, just how much is FOX paying you for this shameless promotion?” Well, allow me to set the record straight: Absolutely nothing! Honestly, theTVaddict.com is not for sale (although that’s not to say I’d be adverse to a little advertising… after-all, cough*cough*Trips to the TCA and Comic Con aren’t going to pay for themselves*cough*contact us*cough) But I digress.
In all seriousness, the real reason theTVaddict.com has gone off the gleep-end today is simple. Not only does GLEE offer up a ridiculous amount of fun guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a song in your head (Seriously, you would not believe how many times I’ve re-watched the episode’s closing number featuring an unforgettable rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin’,”). It’s more importantly the most original and unique series to hit the small screen in quite some time. Which in this era of reality TB and increasingly generic produce-by-numbers procedurals (Yes, we’re talking to you CBS) is something that must be both rewarded and celebrated. Who’s with me?
