An In Depth Look At… GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Latest Shocking Exit!

One of the most buzzed about stories on daytime takes another shocking twist when this week, GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Kiefer — the guy who was stupid enough to repeatedly abuse a mobster’s daughter — bites the bullet. “Usually when you say that about someone in Port Charles, it can be taken literally,” says Soaps In Depth executive editor Richard M. Simms. “After all, rare is the week that someone isn’t shot in that town. But the bullet wounds usually aren’t fatal. What happens to Kiefer most definitely is!”

In this case, what happens is that he winds up paying the piper for his horrific actions. “This storyline has actually been tough to watch at times,” admits the editor. “It’s been a very realistic portrait of abuse, with the teenager in question forgiving the boy for hitting her because he says he’s sorry and that it won’t happen again. She has some pretty serious issues, a lot of them stemming from the fact that she’s the daughter of local crime lord Sonny Corinthos.”

Turns out that Kiefer’s demise isn’t the end of the story… not by a long shot. “Kristina’s abuser is dead, but remember, she’s been lying about who hit her. In fact, things go from bad to worse for Ethan when he becomes the prime suspect in Kiefer’s death!”

Speaking of Ethan, his portrayer, Nathan Parsons, is interviewed in the mag, explaining what it’s like to become part of the infamous Spencer clan.
