Emmy Predictions 2010: Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series

In anticipation of the upcoming 62nd Annual EMMY Awards (Airing Sunday August 29th at 8PM on NBC) theTVaddict.com is proud [or not-so-proud depending on how things turn out] to once again present our GUARANTEED EMMY WINNERS 2010*

NOMINEES: Bryan Cranston (BREAKING BAD), Michael C. Hall (DEXTER), Kyle Chandler (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS), Hugh Laurie (HOUSE), Matthew Fox (LOST), John Hamm (MAD MEN)

SHOULD WIN: Michael C. Hall, DEXTER
When he wasn’t busy conquering cancer (Michael C. Hall FTW!), the actor was thrilling us by shooting what not only may go down as DEXTER’s finest season, but one of the most memorable Thanksgiving dinners to boot!

WILL WIN: Hugh Laurie, HOUSE
As much as it pains us to say this, last season’s two-hour opener that saw Laurie’s not-so-good doctor locked away in a Mental Institution had “For Your Consideration” written all over it.

SNUBBED: Ian Somerhalder, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
CW actors get no respect. And while we’re the first to admit that Damon Salvatore may lack the gravitas in comparison to say a Coach Taylor (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) or Jack Shephard (LOST), Somerhalder more than makes up for it by injecting an immeasurable amount of energy and excitement into last season’s most morally ambiguous — and we should add, watchable — blood sucker.

*theTVaddict.com does not guarantee his “winning picks.” Do not, I repeat, Do not bet the house, kids or family pet on them!
