Emmy Predictions 2010: Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series

In anticipation of the upcoming 62nd Annual EMMY Awards (Airing Sunday August 29th at 8PM on NBC) theTVaddict.com is proud [or not-so-proud depending on how things turn out] to once again present our GUARANTEED EMMY WINNERS 2010*

NOMINEES: Lea Michele (GLEE), Julia-Louis Dreyfus (THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE), Edie Falco (NURSE JACKIE), Amy Poehler (PARKS AND RECREATION), Tina Fey (30 ROCK), Toni Collette (UNITED STATES OF TARA)

SHOULD WIN: Julia-Louis Dreyfus, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE
Who, not only obliterated the so-called SEINFELD curse with season-after-season of hi-jinx and hilarity on THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE. But did so, with virtually zero support from CBS, the network on which the show aired.

WILL WIN: Edie Falco, NURSE JACKIE
If there is one thing Emmy voters don’t believe in, it’s change. Thus, expect Falco who already has three little golden statues to her name for her brilliant work on THE SOPRANOS to walk away with a fourth for her equally-brilliant portrayal of an average woman leading an extraordinary life.

SNUBBED: Courteney Cox, COUGAR TOWN
Despite being there for us every single Wednesday night at 9:30PM with a consistent willingness to do anything for a laugh, Academy voters have yet to be their for Cox. Who inexplicably remains to this day the only FRIEND not to garner an Emmy nomination.

*theTVaddict.com does not guarantee his “winning picks.” Do not, I repeat, Do not bet the house, kids or family pet on them!
