Emmy Predictions 2010: Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series

In anticipation of the upcoming 62nd Annual EMMY Awards (Airing Sunday August 29th at 8PM on NBC) theTVaddict.com is proud [or not-so-proud depending on how things turn out] to once again present our GUARANTEED EMMY WINNERS 2010*

NOMINEES: Jim Parsons (THE BIG BANG THEORY), Larry David (CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM), Matthew Morrison (GLEE), Tony Shalhoub (MONK), Steve Carell (THE OFFICE), Alec Baldwin (30 ROCK)

SHOULD WIN: Jim Parsons, THE BIG BANG THEORY
Jim Parsons is to THE BIG BANG THEORY what Hugh Laurie is to HOUSE. Need we say more?

WILL WIN: Jim Parsons, THE BIG BANG THEORY
Our theory goes a little something like this: Since Emmy voters will undoubtedly wait until next year to award Steve Carell a much-deserved first (!) Emmy for his farewell season on THE OFFICE, Larry David is essentially playing what amounts to an exaggerated version of himself on CURB, Matthew Morrison while talented is not the least bit funny, and Alec Baldwin and Tony Shalhoub have already been awarded enough golden hardware to fund a revolution in a smallish third-world country, expect a much-deserving Jim Parsons to walk away a winner.

SNUBBED: Joel McHale, COMMUNITY
As they say on those newsy sports talk shows that we’ve only read about in books, “Let’s go to the tape, shall we?”

*theTVaddict.com does not guarantee his “winning picks.” Do not, I repeat, Do not bet the house, kids or family pet on them!
