Your TV Tech Fix: Hulu Cutting Subscription Fee in Half?

<

Not long ago, Hulu announced Hulu Plus would be accessible through TiVo and Roku boxes. Now, it looks like they may be taking steps to ensure people actually use it. I’m usually not one to report on speculation, but as a TV loving cheapskate, even the rumor of Hulu cutting the monthly subscription  price  for Hulu Plus from $10 to $5 per month has me pretty excited.

Ever since Hulu began their paid subscription level, it’s been a tough sell. Sure, there’s more content to watch than what they offer for free, but so far the $10 price tag has seemed a bit on the high side for what you get…  particularly when compared to Netflix’s (commercial free) offering at $9 per month. Now, if Hulu really does make the rate switch from Hamilton to Lincoln, the value proposition gets a lot more interesting. It would be a no-brainer for many, especially if you’ve already been thinking about renting shows at .99 a pop with the new Apple TV.

Of course, this rumor could be false, but here’s hoping enough of a fuss gets made to convince them a it’s a good idea.

Would Hulu Plus at $5 a month worth it to you? Post your thoughts in the comments section below.
