After six episodes of bloody awesomeness, THE WALKING DEAD will end its all-too abbreviated first season this Sunday night at 10PM. Where things get really interesting though is that unlike most shows that go on an extended hiatus leaving fans will little more than the occasional webisodes (see: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA), fans of THE WALKING DEAD have at their disposable a wealth of material in the form of Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book that serves as the basis for the hit AMC series. An alternative which raises a question we’re hoping fans of both the television show and comic book might be able to help us with: Will reading the comic, like say the first compendium that we’re a mere click away from purchasing on Amazon, ruin the shock and awe of the TV show? Or are they different enough entities to be enjoyed on their own?
