An In Depth Look At… ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Wedding Shocker!

February 4, 2011 By theTVaddict Leave a Comment

Two gorgeous sisters walking down the aisle to marry the men of their dreams… what could possibly go wrong? Um, pretty much everything. After all, we’re talking about ONE LIFE TO LIVE here, and that is a soap opera!

“In some ways,” says Soaps In Depth executive editor Richard M. Simms, “this wedding harkens back to the days of big, classic soap weddings. A gorgeous event, lots of secrets bubbling just beneath the surface and an underlying sense that what should be the happiest day in the lives of these couples is going to go tragically awry.”

For the uninitiated, the brides are sisters Natalie and Jessica, each of whom recently gave birth. So far, so good, right? Unfortunately, Natalie had a one-night stand with Jessica’s groom-to-be, Brody. And Jessica had a one-nighter with local himbo Ford while mistakenly believing herself to be a high-school student. (Don’t ask, just go with it.) Both ladies had paternity tests… and both of those tests were tampered with.

“There are a lot of secrets set to be exposed,” previews Simms. “And they’re all going to come out in the worst way possible. It’s going to make for some wildly-gripping television.”

And what about that other much-anticipated wedding? “For weeks now, GENERAL HOSPITAL’s been building toward Sonny and Brenda’s nuptials. And just like on OLTL, there are major fireworks set to go off thanks to secrets that the bride has been keeping. This week, it looks as if someone in Port Charles is out to sabotage Sonny and Brenda’s big day. “As if they need that!” laughs the editor. “There’s already a grieving madman looking to kidnap the bride, and Carly thinks the wedding would be the perfect place to reveal that Brenda had a baby with the groom’s son. Now, someone’s running around ruining Brenda’s wedding dress and doing other things that would make any other woman think twice about going through with the ceremony!”

Elsewhere in the mag, ALL MY CHILDREN’s Jordi Vilasuso (Griffin) talks about the tough task of stepping into the void left by the departure of Thorsten Kaye (ex-Zach), and GH’s Chad Duell opens up about the aftermath of the controversial story in which his alter ego, Michael, admitted to having been raped while in prison! And some of your favorite daytimers — including Ingo Rademacher (Jax, GH), AMC’s Cameron Mathison (Ryan) and OLTL’s Melissa Archer (Natalie) reveal their plans for Valentine’s Day!
