And Now the Story of An ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT Movie That Might Actually Happen!

I just Blue Myself.

According to ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT creator Mitch Hurtwitz — who was on hand alongside stars Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Michael Cera, Tony Hale, Jeffrey Tambor, David Cross, Alia Shawkat and Jessica Walter to celebrate the brilliant-but-canceled series at the New York Television Festival — talks have begun to not just shoot a big-screen ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT [mis]adventure, but a limited run ten-episode mini-season leading up to it as well.

According to Deadline Hollywood, “20th Century Fox TV, which co-produced Arrested Development with Imagine TV, has had talks with Netflix, which has been on the hunt for original programming, and Showtime, whose new entertainment president David Nevins shepherded ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT when he ran Imagine TV.” Confirmed Jason Bateman via twitter. “It’s true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early ’13. VERY excited!”

Suffice it so say, VERY excited doesn’t even begin to describe our feelings about this. Stay tuned.
