Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Reasons Why We Implore You to Check Out Tonight’s Hilarious HAPPY ENDINGS

Meet the Parent!
Continuing in the grand tradition of last season’s stand out episode that introduced us to Max’s loving — albeit completely clueless parents when it came to the subject of their son’s sexuality — tonight’s instalment features Penny’s positively optimistic mom played by the brilliant — and if all things go according to plan, future Emmy winner for outstanding guest actress in a comedy — Megan Mullally.

News You Can Use
From the rules of improve (Rule #1: “Support your partner.”) to the hilarious, albeit somewhat misinformed facts about the city of Chicago (Said Max in his latest job as tour guide, “Chicago was originally nicknamed the ‘Window City’ but another nickname had that first… so thanks a lot Omaha!”), tonight’s episode of HAPPY ENDINGS doesn’t just entertain, it edu-tains. Providing valuable news we… err… can’t really talk about here due to the family friendly nature of this website (cough*cough*j*spot*cough).

FRIENDS 2.0
What started out yet another run-of-the-mill network comedy revolving around a group of ridiculously good-looking twenty-somethings has quietly evolved into one of the strongest ensembles on television. And while we’re somewhat hesitant to utter the “F” word, between Adam Pally’s Max Blum (Or as we like to call him, gay Kramer), Elisha Cuthbert’s Alex Moore (Canada’s hottest export has defied expectations by taking your typical ‘dumb blond’ to an entirely new level of funny) and the AH-Mazing Casey Wilson’s Penny, there is not a weak link in the bunch. What’s more, the show gets serious bonus points for injecting some much needed color into the mix courtesy of what Max so accurately called “the very attractive mixed-race couple” that is Jane (Eliza ‘I survived the SCRUBS spin-off’ Coupe) and Brad (Damon Wayans Jr.)

Get Your GLEE On
Aside from affording Penny the opportunity to reference our favorite brilliant-but-canceled series (“I love my mom, we’re like the Gilmore GIrls but we came first so we’re better.”) the arrival of Penny’s parental unit allows for numerous musical montage opportunities. Including an…

Actual Happy Ending!
Living up to its namesake that is HAPPY ENDINGS, tonight’s episode delivers just that, culminating in a emotionally poignant final scene that will give GLEE’s Don’t Stop Believin’ a run for its money.

HAPPY ENDINGS airs Wednesdays at 9:30PM on ABC (CityTV in Canada) and stars Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Adam Pally, Damon Wayans Jr. and Casey WIlson. Catch up on past episodes you may have missed for free online at clicktowatch.tv
