Is a little black box worth more than a human life to Nikita? That’s the questions tonight’s explosive episode, appropriately titled “Fair Trade” will answer when what starts out as a routine mission on Nikita’s part to draw Senator Pierce and the remaining members of Oversight out into the open turns into a desperate race against time to save Birkhoff’s life. And while we’re not about to spoil whether or not Nikita will be able to save the day, or to be more specific, Birkhoff’s big beautiful brain from a bat-crazy Amanda intent on sending our heroine a message, we will reveal the following:
(1) With Michael otherwise preoccupied halfway around the world with his newly discovered family and Alex busily attempting to figure out a way to sneak into her Russian homeland undetected, Nikita may have seriously underestimated her tactical prowess when it comes to facing down both Division and Oversight, not to mention former Navy SEAL Sean Pierce on her own. (2) Amanda is waaaaaayyy crazier than even we initially suspected. And (3) While not the best episode of the season, tonight’s instalment does a pretty bang-up job of setting into motion a chain of events that promises to once again take everything fans know and love about NIKITA and turn it on its head.
