It’s Official: TBS Takes Over COUGAR TOWN

In an effort to live up to its billing as the home for “veryfunny,” TBS has made it official. COUGAR TOWN, the critically acclaimed albeit ratings anemic cult comedy is moving to the house that Tyler Perry built for a 15-episode fourth season starting in early 2013.

According to Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM), “COUGAR TOWN is a smart, whimsical sitcom that draws its humor from likeable, relatable characters and we are thrilled to have it moving to the TBS neighborhood as the network.”

According to this TV Addict, Michael Wright not only deserves serious kudos for his mighty fine taste in television (See his not-so-recent saving of SOUTHLAND after NBC unceremoniously handed the series its pink slip), but for picking up a series that could potentially play an integral role into transforming TBS to a serious player in the literal funny business.
