Giving new meaning to the phrase, better late than never, MTV announced today that the show responsible for introducing “G.T.L.” and Snooki into the popular vernacular is coming to an end. More specifically speaking, after five seasons of giving the denizens of the Garden State — and let’s face it reality television in general — a bad name, JERSEY SHORE’s upcoming sixth season will be its last.
Survived by two spin-offs (THE PAULY D PROJECT and SNOOKI & JWOWW), JERSEY SHORE’s final season will kick off on Thursday October 4th, but not before the network airs a retrospective appropriately titled “Gym, Tan, Look Back” prior to the Network’s Video Music Awards on September 6th.
