The TV Addict: Where do I begin? Working my way backwards, the final scene of tonight’s season premiere that features two characters immensley integral to the show’s success sent the type of chills down my spine usually reserved for when something on the small screen really hits home. What’s more, the episode doesn’t rely so much on a gimmick, theme, or artist from which to generate story but rather by placing the proper emphasis on real characters and their relatable journeys. Which is to say, I found myself rooting or Rachel Berry for the first time in an awfully long time, I was genuinely curious about the plight of new editions Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Jake (Jacob Artist).
This longtime Gleek is somewhat concerned that all these new characters will be stealing to spotlight from the original cast of characters we’ve come to know and love. Thoughts? — Dylan
The TV Addict: While fans of Puck and Quinn most definitely have cause for concern, seeing as though it would appear that both of their characters have been effectively replaced by a half-brother Jake (Jacob Artist) and doppelgänger Kitty (Becca Tobin’s) respectively, Artie, Tina, Brittany and Kurt fans have absoposilutely nothing to worry about. Not only do Brittany and Artie get some of the episodes most memorable one-liners, Tina totally nails her musical number in her bid to become, as the episode title suggests, “the new Rachel.” While Kurt and his father share a scene that pretty much secure’s Burt Hummel’s entrance into the father of the year hall of fame.
Any intel on how Reese, Carter and Fusco plan on rescuing Finch when PERSON OF INTEREST returns for its second season? — James
The TV Addict: Actually we don’t, because much to our surprise, the reunion of one of our favorite small screen bromances doesn’t technically happen in the show’s first episode back. That said, what does happen totally makes up for the lack of closure to last season’s shocking cliffhanger. Particularly if you’re a fan of the “machine” mythology and its literal father of invention Harold Finch.

The TV Addict: While you’ll be happy to hear that Amy Acker’s Root is back in a big way, you more than likely won’t be thrilled with what she wants with Finch. And while we’re not about to spoil it here, we will let you in on a little secret: Root may be just a wee bit off her rocker. Read into that what you will!
Based on Tuesday’s fantastic PARENTHOOD season opener it would appear that Drew’s relationship is headed the way of Amy Poehler and Will Arnett. Care to confirm or deny? — Riley

What we will do is fill fans in on three very important facts with regards to RAISING HOPE’s third season premiere. (1) Not surprisingly, it’s fantastic. (2) Somewhat surprisingly, special guest star Melanie Griffith knocks it out of the park as Sabrina’s mom. And (3) A seriously surprising secret about Jimmy’s past comes to light that may-or-may-not threaten his relationship with Sabrina forever.

This being television and all, love is also in the air in the form of not just one, but two romances on the horizon. One involves new cast member Kate Kelton’s character Jordan, and the other is one so surprising we’ve been sworn to secrecy!
Forget Castle and Beckett, this Esposito/Ryan fan would love to know where their relationship stands when the show returns for its fifth season? — Brandon
The TV Addict: Like that of any actor’s career after signing onto a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, Esposito and Ryan’s relationship is on shaky ground. Make that very shaky ground. But just how unhappy is Esposito with Ryan following last May’s season finale? Well, let’s just say that the only words exchanged between the talented twosome involve the names “Benedict” and “Arnold!”
I was shocked when GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Duke suddenly showed up after all these years. For one thing, I thought he was dead… and had a different face. But he hasn’t been seen again since that first day. Will he be returning? — Kayla
The TV Addict: According to our pals at Soaps In Depth magazine, the truth about Duke will begin to unfold in early October. Look for the character to return to the canvas and immediately have a pretty big impact. After all, he’s the presumed-dead husband of Port Charles top cop Anna, who recently got hot and heavy with Luke. But the bigger questions revolve around Duke’s supposed death. Ian Buchanan (ex-Ian, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) created the role of Duke back in 1986. But after he departed in 1989, Greg Beecroft took over the role and it was revealed
that Duke had undergone extensive plastic surgery. By 1990, NuDuke had been killed… or so it seemed until Buchanan’s Duke appeared unexpectedly a few weeks back! One thing’s certain: When Duke returns in October, he’s gonna have a whole lot of explaining to do!
