Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Quotes From Last Night’s GAME OF THRONES

For a lot of us, the words “season finale” translate into “cliffhanger time.” And in that regard, last night’s episode of GAME OF THRONES was a bit of a letdown. How could it not be, given that the previous episode had ended with what has come to be known as the red wedding? Knowing that the much-discussed war was at last upon the kingdoms was something we’d known was coming for ages, and watching Daenerys crowd surf was a cool scene, but as memorable closing shots go, it couldn’t top Catelyn’s murder or even dragons torching Astapor. What we did get, however, was a script overflowing with fantastic scenes and brilliant dialogue. So check out our five favorite lines from the episode “Mhysa,” and then let us know what you thought of the episode as a whole!

“My mother taught me not to throw stones at cripples. But my father taught me to aim for their heads.” — Ramsay to his prisoner, Theon

“You’re me. Never been with a woman. Never talked to a woman, really. And then she comes at you, big words, no clothes. What would you have done?” — Gendry explaining how he wound up being bedded by Melisandre

“Any man who must say ‘I am the king’ is no true king.” — Tywin of his psychotic grandson, King Joffrey

“You just sent the most powerful man in Westeros to bed without his supper!” — Tyrion of Tywin’s dismissal of King Joffrey

And finally, without question, our personal favorite:
“It’s not easy being drunk all the time. Everyone would do it if it were easy!”
— Tyrion
