STAR-CROSSED Scoop: Titus Makin Talks Portraying the Free-Spirited Lukas, Friend to Humans and Aliens Alike

Titus Makin star-crossed

With STAR-CROSSED’s fourth episode about to air, the dividing lines of humans and Atrians have begun to be drawn, but one that stands out as a friend to both sides is Lukas, portrayed by Titus Makin, Jr. At first just seen as a happy-go-lucky friend of Emery (Aimee Teegarden) and Julia (Malese Jow), Lukas’ journey is about to get very interesting.

As Titus mentions in this exclusive interview, Lukas is about to caught up in the crossfire of the Trags and Red Hawks, political factions determined to keep their races separate.

Perhaps it is Lukas’ curiosity for all things technologically advanced which gets him caught up in the mix. He is irrevocably drawn to the Atrian’s technology and seems himself exempt from the factions picking political sides. But he will find out that even wishing to stay out of the fray does not keep one safe.

His journey will take a darker turn and viewers will start to see another side of Lukas — a more serious side and more sentimental side. So Lukas is not just there to be the comedic relief amongst rising tensions; he will become an integral part of it. His fervent hope will be that the humans and Atrians will find a way to get along and keep the peace.

Another fun tidbit gleaned from Titus is that Lukas has a secret of his own. Cannot wait to see what that is!

In the meantime, be sure to tune in for all new episodes of STAR-CROSSED on Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. on the CW.
