Meghan Heffern Talks The CW’s BACKPACKERS

Meghan Heffern stars on The CW’s highly anticipated new series, BACKPACKERS.  Her character Beth and husband to be, Ryan (Noah Reid) agree to go there separate ways before the wedding.  They backpack through Europe, and get into some trouble along the way.  I spoke with Heffern about BACKPACKERS and how she thinks its going to work out for Ryan and Beth, her favorite part about shooting the show, and a sneak peek at the BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE movie.

What can you tell us about your new show BACKPACKERS?
Meghan Heffern: A case of cold feet leads my fiancé and I on separate backpacking trips through Europe. Chaos ensues.

Do you think Ryan and Beth’s agreement is going to work out in the end for them??
Ryan and Beth have a very special relationship. The romantic part of me thinks it would be amazing for it to work out. We will just have to wait and see.

Do you think that could ever work for a couple in real life?
I think anything is possible when it comes to matters of the heart.

We see a lot of Ryan’s partying and fooling around in the preview. Will we see Beth get into some crazy situations as well this season?
Beth definitely gets herself into some trouble. She has the time of her life.

What has been your favorite part about shooting BACKPACKERS?
We were so lucky to get to shoot through Europe. We spent 10 days in Paris, which was absolutely amazing. Shooting in front of the Eiffel tower was surreal.

There is going to be a BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE Movie. What are you most excited about for the movie?
I’m excited to be back in Montreal shooting with that group of crazy guys. I can’t wait to see what they come up with. Never a dull moment.

What can you tell us about it?
They are keeping a tight lid on the script, but I can tell you that it’s going to be bigger and crazier then the series…if that’s even possible.

What are some shows you’re loving right now on television?
Most of the shows I’m obsessed with are on hiatus (GAME OF THRONES, THE GOOD WIFE) so I’ve been marathoning HANNIBAL and GIRLS (both of which I love).

You can watch Meghan Heffern on the premiere of BACKPACKERS tonight on The CW at 9:30PM.
