Summer is upon us which means that there are slim pickings when it comes to what to watch on television. Luckily there are many ways to watch television shows now and one of the most popular ways is to binge watch shows on Netflix. Well, prepare to thank us TV Addicts because we have compiled a list of the top 10 shows you should binge watch this summer.
One of the shows that defined Netflix and for very good reason. This show is the definition of binge-able. While I wasn’t the biggest fan of the second season, season 3 looks to put the show back on track. Alex is back, Sofia appears to get an actual storyline and the other Litchfield prisoners look to make us all laugh again. The third season is available tomorrow, so I’ll see everyone again after I’ve watched the entire thing (this means in like 3-4 days).
If you’re like me then you’ve only heard great things about this show but have yet to take the time to actually watch it. Well, summer is the best time to get started. This show also has Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) for crying out loud! That is reason enough to watch.
This Netflix original series is the first one since OITNB that I’m really excited for. It looks crazy and confusing and awesome. That is the perfect formula for a show that you can watch all the first season in one seating.
I’ve wanted to watch this show since it premiered on The CW but it never really fit into my tv watching schedule and then I forgot about it. Now I feel like everyone started talking about how great this show is. So here’s hoping season 2 makes it on Netflix before the summer is over because only a 13 episode first season is easily and quickly watched.
I watched the first 4 episodes of this series already and it is just hilarious. There is not much else to say about this show because it’s great. Added bonus: this show is a half hour comedy so it will make for very easy binging.
Netflix, ABC, Marvel or whoever is in charge of when content gets to Netflix has finally gotten their stuff together when it comes to this show. Season 1 wasn’t available until well in season 2’s run so it’s great news knowing I can finish season 2 before season 3 starts. I found this show hard to get into at the start of season 1 but it definitely hit its stride on the back half of the season and I’m ready to binge season 2!
There is a huge amount of superhero shows (with more to come this fall) so it was a hard choice on whether to add this to the list or not. But I watched the first two episodes already and this show is very, very good. So if you’re missing your weekly dose of heroes doing epic things, this show will be easy and fun watching.
Now is the time to catch up on this series because finally it’s answering questions in the season currently airing. Pretty Little Liars is honestly one of the hardest shows for me to watch week to week and even harder from season to season. Binge watching or at least getting to watch season premieres immediately after a season finale is the best way to watch this show. If you start this summer, you might even get lucky enough and the season airing now could be added by the time you get to the end.
Season 1 is currently only available online but Netflix always seems to get CW shows pretty quickly. While The 100 may be higher on this list, if you are going to choose only one CW show to watch this summer, I highly suggest The Originals. I watch this show when it airs live so while I won’t be binge watching this, I will still probably watch some of my favorite episodes/moments. Plus season 2 is really great so finish season 1 as soon as possible because you won’t want to wait to watch season 2.
I think we’ve all heard at this point how good SoA is so now is the time to finally watch it. There is no excuse now, all 7 seasons are available for your viewing. You’re not alone, I’m only on season 3 so I’m right with you on needing to get through this show.
